Fastpass for hotel guests at Disneyland?

I know there's no fastpass/maxpass at Disneyland and to my knowledge everything is standby except for WebSlingers and RotR. I was talking to a friend that happened to visit Disneyland a couple weeks ago and she mentioned that she saw people who, kind of like a fastpass, got to go in a separate entrance. She said those people either had the DAS pass, and the other people with no DAS pass had some sort of onsite hotel perk that allowed them to go in a separate line, which confused me. I know about the DAS pass, but I haven't heard anything about a fastpass type perk for onsite hotel guests? My first thought was maybe she got confused seeing single-riders but she insisted they weren't, so I just wanted to ask here and see if I was missing some information!

Your friend was confused, there is no Fastpass perk for staying onsite. She likely saw people using return Fastpasses they received tor a ride breaking down earlier, DAS users, or VIP tours.

It wouldn’t have been a hotel- related perk. Other that DAS and single riders, those on a VIP tour with a plaid CM would be using it. Also if you were on a ride that broke down, you might have received a “multi-experience” ride pass- basically a fast pass- and they’d let you use that entrance.

Thanks for all your replies! Good to know there wasn't anything I missed:rotfl: I guess she saw a VIP tour group

Fastpasses are not a thing but as mentioned in addition to DAS and VIP Tours there are "Mulit-Experience" passes that are distributed via the app and linked to guests tickets for various things like breakdowns and Guest Service issue resolutions which get to use the FP lines. They function essentially exactly the same as a FP.

The are currently not distributed to Resort Guests as a perk of simply staying on site.

I did like that they used to do things like fastpasses for the newest ride when you were staying at the Grand. It made staying onsite a little more special.

Just a side story: We got multi- experience passes on our first morning last month, when PotC broke down. They tell you you can use them only in the same park, and not on PP, ROTR or Smugglers Run. So we went to Snow White, and the guy said, “Sure- but don’t waste that on here, just go ahead.” So nice! We didn’t get a chance to use it before we went over to CA, and as we were approaching RSR, I said to DD26, “Let’s just ask, all they can do is say no.” The CM explained kindly that no, we could only use it in DL, but then he looked at us and said, “It’s just the 2 of you?” And quietly shooed us in the FP return. 🤩 I mean, he was a young guy, and DD is quite attractive so it may have had something to do with that, but whatever! 😂 We were very grateful!
