Because it was past your 1 hour window?

We were told by 2 FastPass CM's that FastPasses were good anytime after the start of the 1 hour window, but several people on this board have responded that this is not accurate.

So, I was wondering if anyone has tried to use a FastPass after the 1 hour had passed, and been told that it was expired.

On our last trip, we got FP for Pooh and then went to Tom Sawyer Island. We got in line to catch the boat back but the boat couldn't dock, it tried over and over and over again. Needless to say, we were about 25 mins late for our FP but we thought we would try it and we were going to tell them WHY we were late but they let us on, no problems!

I believe you are not supposed to come back after your window but the couple of times we have, no questions asked

We are not habitually late - one time, DS decided he wanted to go up the Swiss Family Robinson Tree, second time a CM gave my DS a fastpass for Buzz since he was a "model TTA rider"

Thanks

I have seen it happen a number of times. As you know, the window of opportunity is set for a reason. :) If there is a mechanical problem with the attraction, then they are a bit more leinant, however, that is the exception, not the rule.

When we were at Epcot in December 2000, we had gotten FPs for Test Track; however, when we returned during our "window of opportunity" the ride was having a technical difficulty and they could not honor it. We were told by the CM to try back later in the evening and they would still honor it. When we returned that time, we were told that it was still closed and the CM placed a red stamp on our FP's and told us to go to Guest Relations to get a one-day pass for each of us since it was the end of the day. We did just that and we were able to use that pass (which was a one-day Park Hopper) to return to Epcot and we presented our FP's from the day before and they honored them.

Very cool I thought! :smooth:

When I was on the College Program I used fast passes 2 weeks after I got them. It just depends on who's manning the FP ticket line. Of course if you speak CM language you can usually talk your way in :)

Yes, at WWTBAM at MGM. It was my own fault, of course. I left dinner early at 50s PrimeTime Cafe (after being harassed by "Mom", our server) on a dead run with my 6 year old.

Of course, the show was the ONLY thing he was psyched to do. Got there 15 minutes before the showtime, but 5 minutes after the FastPass time. What killed us was that there was a group of 7 just before us, so the CMs weren't even trying to accommodate anyone, in the interest of fairness. Apparently they had already started letting the standbys in, and didn't want to upset the 7 by accommodating we two. So my little boy was crestfallen. The following day was Easter Sunday. My wife and 2 yo DD were napping, so I took my boy back just for the show. They did let us use our FastPass when we returned, however.

Unless the attraction has a downtime, it is solely at the discretion of the CM. If the FastPass queue is a little backed up and the standby queue is very long, they will generally not honor FPs more than 15 minutes past expiration.
I don't think I need to say anything regarding using FPs from previous visits...

That isn't exactly the situation I was asking about, but I certainly appreciate your response. Was it the last show of the day?

WWTBAM was where we were first told not to worry if we missed our FP time. We were trying to fit in the Indiana Jones show, and couldn't decide whether to pull the FP's or wait. The CM told us to go ahead an pull them, that they would be good for any of the subsequent shows, as well. He then went on to say that this was the case at all FP attractions. (We made our window for that show, so we didn't get to test his statement until later.)
