Hello,

I am renting DVC points for the first time for an upcoming trip. I purchased tickets through Undercover Tourist, and I have linked everything to MDE. When I look at choosing Fastpasses, the site only allows me to look 30 days in advance. Since I am staying in a Disney resort, shouldn't I be able to book Fastpasses 60 days in advance? I am renting the points through a DVC member, so could this pose a problem? My reservation does show that I am staying at a Disney resort.

Thanks for any help!

Your window will open up once you are at 60 days. I presume your trip is further off than 60 days at this time?

Yes, my trip is more than 60 days away. I am able to look at dates up to 30 days in advance, and I was a little nervous that I could not see dates 60 days in advance. This is all new to me, so I guess I am just a little overwhelmed by it all. Thanks for the help.

It's our first time renting DVC points too. We also bought our tickets through UT. Have you linked them to MDE? As long as you have your window will open 60 days in advance. We booked all of our FP+ with no problems at 60 days out.

Thanks so much. I guess I just need to be more patient. I hope you have a great time on your trip!

Oh, and yes, I have linked everything to MDE, so I should be good to go.

Awesome! Do familiarize yourself with the system before your 60 day mark so you know the ins and outs of how it works. Also, if you want A&E or 7DMT I definitely recommend starting at midnight on your 60 day window in order to get the day and time you want. Hope you have a great trip!! :)

I just came back from a terrific trip at BWV on rented points. The fastpass reservation you can do now are based on the UT tickets and the fact that anyone with tickets linked regardless of where you stay can book 30 days out. But at 60 days from your onsite resort reservation, it opens as long as you have valid tickets linked AND a Disney resort reservation. Have a great time!

Thanks so much everyone. You have made me feel much better. I appreciate the help and advice.

Same for us. We are renting points and have separate tix. We could always look 30 days out because of tix. When we hit our 60 day window it all opened up.

Glad to hear this!! Staying on rented points in Feb for the first time since FP+

Woot!:cool1:

This is all good news. We are looking at renting points as well for a September 2016 trip. I do have one question I haven't seen addressed (with our scenario): We will have Annual Passes (plan to purchase in January) Does the DVC rental allow for the reserving of FP+ at the 60 day mark as well? Thanks.

DVC Reservations are no different than any other Disney Resort Reservation when it comes to on-site benefits.

Yes, once you buy the passes you can immediately link them by entering the number for each in MDE & you're good. We bought our passes online several months before we arrived & activated them. We were able to link on MDE w/ the number supplied online as soon as we bought them and had no problem making our FP+s @ 60 days. We were staying on our own DVC points, but being a renter works the same - just link your resort reservation number on MDE which your owner or broker will provide to you once they make the DVC reservation for you & link your pass numbers on MDE when you buy them and you're set.

We have rented a few times. Your window will open at the 60 day mark as long as the hotel ressie and tickets both show up in MDE. :thumbsup2
