Fastpass - does it work the same?

Hey guys,

I'm really looking forward for my trip in November. But I've never been to Dlp and there's not that much information around as there is for WDW.

Can someone tell me if the Fastpass system works the same as WDW? I won't be staying in any hotel and I'm worried they would be available.

As a plus - can you guys tell me what are your favorite rides in both parks.

You just scan your ticket and get a faspass with time slot. You can't get another untill that time slot is over. Not all rides have fastpasses, just popular ones.

I like Buzz lightyear laserblast, Casey Jr. and storybook ride. Pirates of Carribean is good too. In studios - slinky dog and ghe shows.

When we were there last week I THINK the fastpass said I could get another one from the starting time of the current one....if I find an unused one in my bag later (there were a few due to non-existent queues!!!) I'll check. Gives you an extra half an hour! Lol

Fast Pass works the same way as the old fast pass system at WDW and DL (you scan your park ticket in the fastpass machine and get a return time. You can they get another fast pass once your current one expires, or after 2 hours; whichever happens first.)

Favourite rides:
Disneyland Park: BTMRR (I much prefer the DLP one over WDW and DL), POTC and Space Mountain (a looping coaster as opposed to the DL and WDW versions.)

Studios park: Crush's coaster (unique to DLP), RC Racer, Rock N Rollercoaster and Animagique. I am also looking forward to the ratatouille ride opening.

I also love the Dreams show at park closing.

I'm reaaaally looking foward to Ratatouille, I'm really glad this trip worked out the way it did, I'll be able to go on the ride a few months after it opens

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to riding Phatom Manor, I just love its american cousins and the manor looks amazing!

Oh and if it's your type of thing, Tower of Terror is FANTASTIC. And Big Thunder Mountain. Of course Phantom Manor and Pirates. Orbitron is better than you expect. And Buzz! And see Stitch Live!.........

I really do want to see everything!! Brazil is not as close do France as the US so I might not be able to go to DLP too soon after this trip.

I'm seriously trying to convince DBF to go for two days, he's not very impressed with my idea though.

As previous poster said you can't get one till you've used one but the main difference I noticed is the window to use it is only half hour rather than an hour like Florida
