FastPass Clarification

I like it! A little "paying it forward" while at Disney, I think I'll do that as I'm leaving the park.
BTW, disneymama73,:offtopic: my 3 girls are the same ages as yours!

Enjoy paying it forward! :cloud9:

One of my favorite things to do on my way outta the park is hand a few FastPasses to some strangers! Don't you just love the look on their faces?! :goodvibes

last trip: after the point that all fast passes for everest were exhausted, we gave away our two extras to two young boys who had just been denied. it made our day to see the excitement they exhibited. though, i did almost take them back when they called me "sir."

I've done it. My in-laws went with us in May, we did it on every ride we could. I would take all 4 tickets and go get us FP and then DW and I would ride get back in line and ride again. It worked great at Everest rode it twice in 20 minutes, standby line was 1.5 hours.

Personaly I think that the computers used for fastpase should be programed on rides that have height requirements so that children tickets can not be used for fastpass.

This would prevent people doing this very thing.
I guess you can tell by all the other posts that this a pretty ridiculous idea.

I just checked on ride height restrictions at http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/rr.htm

In the 4 theme parks, there are 16 rides with height restrictions. 11 of those 16 have a height minimum of 40 inches or less (even Goofy's Barnstormer in Mickey's Toontown Fair has a height minimum of 35 inches!). My then-5 year old son is in the 25th percentile for height, but even he was just over 40 inches when we went to WDW in May 2005.

Three of the 16 rides have a height minimum of 44 inches. My now-6 year old, on the short-side son is now just over 44 inches, so this November he can ride Mission:Space, Space Mountain and Expedition EVEREST with me if he wants.

Two of the rides have a height minimum of 48 inches, Primeval Whirl and my favorite, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. I won't be riding those with my boy this November.

When you are blessed with children some day, head mouse, you'll realize that they are not necessarily too short for things just because they are children.

Nothing wrong with using kids' passes to get extra FASTPASSes for grown ups.

As I recall, when you have a child that does not meet the height requirement, the cm at the entrance to the attraction will give you a pass good for up to 3 people to ride. The idea is that some of the adults can wait in line, or use a fastpass and ride while someone waits out front with the munchkin. Then when they are done, one of the riders gives the baby swap pass to the other adult who can use the fastpass line with any other 2 adults. So why not use the kids fast passes, and take advantage of this provision too? ;)

To the OP - go for it! We've gotten four fast-passes and dh and I left the kids with grandma and went on a ride twice in a row when the kids chickened out! lol.

To the person who thinks that children shouldn't be able to get fastpasses, my kids last year (age 6 and 4) were both tall enough for the ToT, Gm Test Track, Splash Mountain and other rides that have fastpasses! I can never see Disney denying a fast-pass for a child's ticket. lol

You can do it but I wouldn't count on your kids at their ages not wanting to go on a few of those rides, I know I did at those ages!
