Hi folks! I'm after a little bit of advice from those who've already booked their fast passes. My window opens on 20th June and I have a meeting at 1.30 and would need to leave at 12.45 to get there. So how long do I need to book 14 days worth of FP and which is easier - App or website? My options are -

1) Book as many as I can before leaving for my meeting - doing the hard to get ones first then booking the rest later.
2) drive to my meeting early and park up - use the app to book them giving me from 12-1.30!!

I really have no clue about how long it'll take to book them - last time we went we were trialing the system so the system wasn't as busy.

Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated!
Cheryl x

I last booked them in November (at 5am, every morning for almost 2 weeks!) and the system has been updated since then to make it easier. I did find that using MDE through my browser was more reliable, but I did it on my iPad browser. So if you could use your tablet in the car you'd be fine. Personally I think you 'should' be able to book them all before you need to leave at 12:45, but if the site's not cooperating (as it sometimes doesn't) then you might be better heading out early and doing it from your car.

Hopefully someone with more recent experience than me can help

I had to book ours recently and found it slower the new way as you have to book each of the 3 separately.

Personally I found a computer better and a pen and paper to note the times you have booked as the new system offered overlapping times!

I would book as many as you can before you leave including the most difficult but all the rest will be absolutely fine to do when you get home.

Are you booking 60 days out as a resort guest? Seriously it took me about 10/15 mins and days later there were still fastpasses left that I wanted, we go on 21st July so busy time too x

Fab. I really wasn't sure how long it would take! I've read posts about it taking hours!!! Yes staying at CBR so 60 days out.
Thanks for the advice all x

I've done mine at noon today at 60 days out

I only had 5 days to book FP+ for. Everything was planned in advance and I had all my choices written down

The initial selection took me 10 to 15 minutes, but as soon as I made the second fp+ for the first day, it was clear I would have to choose a 'close enough' time and not the time I wanted
For example I like my FP+ neat and tidy, without a gap, even a 5 minutes gap between them but it was almost impossible to acheive at first

For example I had a 10:30-11:30 for the first fastpass, and for the second I was only offered 11:25-12:25 and next was 3:45-4:45pm
The 11:25 window is refused as times overlap and the site would not allow to go further. So I had to settle forthe huge gap in order to complete the bookings

Once those initial selections were made I continued on to tweak the times, and after time and effort I was able to close all but one gap (5 minutes between end of fp#1 and start of fp#2, all of theothers following each other neatly)

All in all it took me 33 minutes for 5 days (15 fp+), tweaking and second guessing accounted for

Much slower and complicated than it used to be. A lot more clicking, and I can't imagine what it's like when the site is slow...

But aside from that, the booking process is much more straightforward and intuitive than it used to be. It's just much longer

ETA : I realise I say ot's more complicated and the next sentence I say it's more straightforward, and this might sound confusing, so let me just explain that. It takes more steps and clicks (=complicated) but it's easier to figure out where and what to click (= straightforward)
