Fastpass Availability 60 Days Out

Is that true for headliners? Why would you be able to get primo FPs the day before, but not 60+?

Because people cancel FPs more frequently the day before and the day of, than they do on any other days, which means those cancellations then show up as available to other guests.

Re current fastpass plan on top:
1. What are the odds of anything becoming available closer to what I originally wanted?
2. If we decide to rope drop seven dwarfs and toy story mania, will we be able to cancel/update the later fastpass?

Out of curiosity - how many people in your party? (My 60 days is this Wednesday, with 2 in our party so this is giving me an idea of what I might see available/unavailable.)

I just made my FP w/in the last week for 9 people. I went on 60 days out right at 7:00am. I was able to get FOP at 60+3 (6:00pm), TOT at 60+2 (5:30pm), 7DMT at 60 +5 (1:30pm), not able to get SDD at all

I can't pretend that I understand it. I only know that it works most of the time. It's just DH and me, to be sure, but I've nearly always been able to get any headliner that I wanted on the day of. It takes some dedicated refreshing sometimes, but It has rarely failed me.

I think that half of the fun is playing around with your fast passes before the trip to see if you can get better rides or better times. I guess it's people like me that trigger slots to open up as we change our plans. I've also heard that it's better to get any fast pass and then try to modify it to something better rather than start the search without a fast pass.

If you look in the Happy Dance subforum for August you'll see a lot of people with data as far as their FPs are concerned.

My 60 day was a few weeks ago, and I was able to snag 1pm SDD and FOP at +4 and +5.
