Fastpass Availability 60 Days Out

1. Try Modifying whenever you have the chance to see if anything opens up.
2. Yes. Every FP has the option to Cancel or to Modify for a different ride.

Wow even with the crazy new tiering rules at the Studios there were STILL only afternoon times for all the Toy Story rides? What did Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Cosster availability look like?

This park has really become a waste to book fast passes in.

Today was my FP day also. The only thing I couldn't get was Tower of Terror, but I was trying for 60+1 so I knew it was a gamble. Tried for SDMT for 60+4 and had to go with 1:30-2:30 when I preferred 11-12. No big deal. Got FoP for 60+1 and 60+5, both evenings. TSMM for 60+2 in the morning and 60 in the evening. Didn't try for SDD....we are planning for a closing time attempt for that one.

Aside from a no-go on ToT and moving my time for SDMT, I got everything at the exact time I wanted. I'll keep trying for ToT (not expecting much for 60+1 with one elevator down but you never know) and to move SDMT. Overall, a successful morning!

60 days out is still before the new tiering rules kick in...I think.

Not too surprised as it looks like they were trying to get HS at 60 days .
It will be interesting to see if FPs become more difficult to get at HS once SWGE opens.
Just as you get used to the FP system, it changes again.

Out of curiosity, do they block/make unavailable windows (in this case 9am-1pm)? either because its not busy at that time and its not needed or because they want to save a morning block for the 30 day fast pass requests?

FWIW-I am 37 days out and I was able to modify my SDMT for exactly the time I was hoping for today. Moved ToT last week from a 6:35 to 5pm, but I am still trying to get earlier. No luck with that or getting SDD yet.

Just keep trying when you get a chance to look for them and hopefully you will get lucky.

I booked mine last week and the only FOP fast pass I could get was 5 pm on my 5th day. Tower of terror 5:55 pm on my 4th day.
Forget about Slinky ride, nothing there. 7 Dwarf mine train is 7:50 pm on my 3rd day! 60 days out, right at 7 am and couldn't get any times in the morning of afternoon for the good rides and they were the first ones I tried to book. So my 3rd FP won't be used until late and by then there won't be FP's left for anything. Something is wrong with this system. Good neighbor hotels getting the same perks as inside the park hotels. Not right!

Okay don't this is probably the dumbest question ever so don't kill me! We have not been to Disney in long time so I am trying to read and learn as much as I can! So much has changed!
So my 60 day is coming up to book my FP. So once I book my FP can I keep going in to check and do the modify strategy to get better times? Or can I only do the modify on the day the fastpass is good for?

You can keep going in to check whenever you want. Odds are you will have more luck the day before or the day of your FP+, but you can keep trying anytime.

I wouldn’t worry about this too much. Just check back every now and then and modify. 60 days is a long time and others are making changes all the time. I am a party of four and have never had an issue modifying (or obtaining “hard to get” FPs this far out to get to the times I wanted. A little persistence will pay off.

My day was monday - I had an AP and for some reason could not book - (I had to call and they had to turn me on) - so at 7.15 there was no FOP and only SDD on 1 of my 2 DHS days...
I was pretty shocked that Aug (right before SW) was that busy!
Did get SDMT once too.....

I've been checking 5 times a day for the last 10 days and have not been able to modify a single fast pass time. I'll just keep trying I guess, hoping someone cancels one, what else can I do.

As a general rule, you don`t need FPs for a show. Use them for rides.

Is that true for headliners? Why would you be able to get primo FPs the day before, but not 60+?

Yes that is alarming. The good news is that TOT was available as a same day FP during our trip last October, as was RnR (and we booked it with the kiosks, not through MDE).
