Fastpass at MNSSHP?

If we get in at 4pm and collect a fastpass or two, can we use them at the party? Will new fastpasses be available at the party or do they not use fp during the party (7p-12a)?

I am curious about this answer also. I honestly can not remember if they have fastpass during the party although we have gone several times. We go the third week in September and the rides are always walk on so we have never even attempted to use Fastpass.

However I would use a Fastpass for the Princess M&G at the party this year if it is available.

Last year they closed the fast pass at 7 (so even if you had fastpasse you had to get in the regular line) granted the lines were very short!

Yes, they close the FP at 7PM for the parties.
They can't use them.

Why?

You don't have tickets that will activate the FP machines for the parties.

Many of the MNSSHP tickets are not the standard "credit card" tickets, so they won't activate the FP machines.

You are correct that if you print your ticket at home, you will not be able to get a fastpass ticket with it. If you have them mailed to you or pick them up at will call, they will be the same as any other Disney ticket and the fastpass machine will recognize them as such if they have been activated at the gate.

At my first MNSSHP, I asked a CM about fast passes. He (politely) laughed and said we wouldn't need them.

I've been to three parties, three different years, and have found most of the rides (except HM, for some reason) to be walk-ons.

You really won't need FP's at MNSSHP. We rode many rides back to back.....HM and POTC 5 times each....no line at all.

That's actually disappointing. I knew they didn't use fastpasses at the parties in the past, but they really weren't needed so that never bothered me. I was hoping they might leave them on for the Mickey/Minnie and princess meet & greets at the parties this year since those lines back up a lot. But I hadn't even considered that some folks wouldn't even have a ticket that could activate it. I guess that answers my question. Bummer!
