We plan on being in DCA when the gates open as guests of GCH and riding Soarin' in that early time period. Our plan is to get to TSM as fast as possible, assuming we're *slightly* ahead of the masses entering the park.

I see two ways to TSM, both being to the right around Grizzly River Run, but then either heading across the bridge (on the left hand side of the lagoon) or to the right of the lagoon.

Does anyone know if either has a closed area at that time of morning? The route to the left seems quicker, but that's from a Disneyland map....

Thanks in advance.

last week when we were there, we got fast passes and rode Ariel before jumping in line for rope drop. The masses were on the left and no one was on the right, since the path is longer, but we decided we would go that way. Not sure if this is the norm, but for us, the right was so much smarter. The masses obviously got backed up on that side in front of TSMM/CA Screamin. We on the right were just able to go right in and ended up not waiting more than 5-10 minutes. Obviously the line fills quickly, they load slowly and many from the left line got in front of us because it was closer for them. However, by the time that load of people filled in behind us from the left side, the wait was probably about 20-30+ minutes for them. Not saying it would happen that easily again, sometimes I imagine those lines don't blend so easily.

We go just about every other weekend. The key is to get a good spot for rope drop ... about 9:40am at the latest. We go straight over the paradise pier bridge. I'm a fast walker so I'm usually one of the first people to the ride entrance (Unless other people ignore the cast members plea for them to walk) I've never had someone beat me to the ride entrance from the "right side" of the lagoon so I'd recommend going straight over the paradise pier bridge :thumbsup2

I have to laugh when I watch the CM's pull the runners over and make them wait, I guess some folks just do not understand english.
