Fastest route to rope drop EE?

From what I've read, most people are running to FOP nowadays so it may not be the usual dash to EE for a while, which is great for us. We've FP+ FOP, so we're heading to EE in EMH and hopefully it won't be too bad.

To be honest I don't think it will matter on the day you go, everyone is still in Pandora mode that it will be a lot less fewer ppl headed towards EE. We rope dropped AK and cruised towards Pandora on a non-EMH morning, decided we wanted no part of that mess and walked through Africa and over to EE and only waited 15 minutes. I think you will be just fine to get to EE with little wait to none.

Just leisurely walk there. You can walk on it 5-10 times with no wait at rope drop now.

I don't think a mad dash is needed anymore. Wait times on EE are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY down since Pandora opened.

...but to answer your question, by Dinoland and past the Nemo theater.

*that feeling when you learn you did it wrong all those years*
We used to always go thru Asia as the route to EE, thinking it was shortest. As others say, it doesn't matter now

Should I go through Discovery Island or Dinoland?

I can tell you that we went through Asia (as we always do) while others broke for Dinoland--those of us who went through Asia beat those who went through Dinoland. We were queued and waiting by the time they came huffing and puffing up to EE .

Not sure I agree with those who indicated that you could leisurely stroll--it was busy when we were there a little over a week ago. We went to AK on Sunday and Tuesday--packed on both days. Shortly after we queued for EE (and the slackers who went through Dinoland arrived), the queue was substantial. We rode once and when we got off, the wait was 45 minutes.

That's funny: Christmas last year it was the exact opposite. These running from Discovery Island over Asia arrived after us walking the way past Nemo, not exactly through whole Dinoland.
But perhaps the rope has moved?

Due to the opening of Pandora, at least %75 go directly to FOP or River Navi. And %75 is a rather conservative estimate. That being said, going through Dinoland and past Nemo would probably work best.

However, the Asia path is absolutely beautiful and could be enjoyed without the crowds. This is what I found my experience this August.

I'm leaning toward cutting through Dinoland, riding EE and then meandering through Maharajah on our way to Kilimanjaro Safari.

Going via Dinoland is shorter to the Everest mountain and the EE ride exit.

Going via Asia is shorter to the EE entrance/end of the standby line.
Standby line forms toward the rest of Asia.
So, once a line actually forms (enough guests arrive) those coming in via Dinoland
will have to walk past all of the guests already standing in the waiting line in order to
get into that line, themselves.

That's basically what we did one morning (doing Kali River Rapids on the way to Maharajah). The park stays nice and empty for a while due to Pandora!!

That is excellent information to have!

We are planning on RDing EE too! We will try to meet Pocahontas first and head through Dinoland and hope for not too long of a wait once we get there!

Location makes the difference.

If you are planning on a delay with a Meet & Greet before EE, I recommend going to EE via Asia.

Pocahontas is right before the bridge to dinoland. Are saying to backtrack after in order to get in the line which extends?
