Fastest Route to Mine Train at Rope Drop?

We're doing a last minute trip, leaving in 10 days! Of course, I can't get FP for mine train so we're going to do it at rope drop. I'm hearing to expect at least a 30 minute wait even at rope drop. So I'm curious if there's a better way to get there other than straight down main street, into fantasyland.

Go straight down main street to the Hub, take the bridge to Fantasyland.
Turn Left at the Teacups.

I don't think there really is a best path anymore, since CMs lead the crowd in after Rope Drop. Gone are the days of sprinting to meet Rapunzel!
