Fastest Cheapest Way To Get From POFQ To Universal Studios ?

What is the best way to get from POFQ to Universal ? Anyone do this and how much did it cost and how long did it take ? What are the best options Mears Shuttle, Taxi ??? I do not want to rent a car so that's not an option.

Looks like Mears is $19/person.

A taxi would be about $35/each way.

You could rent a car for about $30, if you wanted to (I see you are against that). Plus $14 to park at Universal.

Or there is the Lynx bus, if you wish for a super cheap mode of transportation, at $4.50/person.

Depending on which mode you pick and traffic your travel time will be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Depends. We used them in Oct to get from CBR to Universal and we had enough people at our resort to fill the van. We went straight to Universal. Coming back that afternoon it was the same way-straight back to CBR with an almost full van. I used them again in Dec to get from CSR to Universal. That time going over there, there were three people from AKL in the van when it arrived and we made one quick stop at POP to pick up a couple. On the way back from Universal we made a quick stop at Sea World to pick up a family of three, then went straight to CSR. When I got out of the van there were still two people in it, both going to AKL. This past May three of us were picked up at POFQ. We made a stop over at the Hilton at Bonnet Creek, but those people didn't show up, then we made another stop at anothe resort over there, but again they didn't show up, so we had our own personal van over to Universal. At each stop the driver only waited like 5 minutes, then when they didn't show up, he called in and said he was leaving. Anyway, for us the first time we used them we were the only stop and the next two times there were a total of three stops, but they didn't take very long. We easily made it to park opening all three times.

Unless you have more than 3 people, the Mears shuttle is the way to go. The cost is about $19 pp, r/t. It takes, maybe, 15 mins longer than a car service would. I've used it several times...we didn't make a ton of other stops.
I like to get the first bus over..usually around 7:25, which gets me to US/IoA by 8. The last time I took this bus, I was able to get to RPR, get checked in, and then over to IoA by 8:30, so got in early with the other resort guests.

But, if you have a group of 4 or so, it may be worth it to hire a car service. Those seem to be running about $75-80 or so, plus tip.

Great the Mears shuttle sounds like it would be good for us, we only have 3 in our group and a couple 5 minute stops dont seem bad.

The fastest way would be to take a taxi. The cheapest way would be to walk.

I'd take Mears for one or two people. Four, and even three, people a taxi or rental car won't be that much more expensive.
