Hello,

I have seen people mention that they have bought fast passes from ebay.

How are these different from the ones you are given when you arrive?

Is it worth buying them? We will be going in the May bank holiday/half term holiday?

Thanks

:confused3

Usually, you don't get given fastpasses at all when you arrive - your park ticket is used to get a timed fastpass ticket from the fastpass machines at each ride which has fastpass booths.

I believe the fastpass tickets you can buy on ebay are ones which a CM would normally issue to a visitor who either didn't have a park ticket (ie an e-ticket user) or sometimes they are issued when a ride has to close for a technical difficulty, and these fastpass tickets are issued to the folk who were queuing for the ride, so they can come back and not have to queue for so long again when the ride is up and running.

These fastpass tickets have no expiry, so can be used in addition to your park tickets for fastpassing rides.

Thanks Elaine,

Might be worth getting them since probably very busy when we go due to school holidays and bank holiday.

Notice you are there in May as well!!

:thumbsup2

They are not surrendered - you can use them over again.

Can someone post a link up so I can see what these mythical passes look like? Is it also true that you can use previous park entry tickets in the fast pass machines?

Have also bought these off eBay - bought two differents lots - think the last lot came from France...including postage came to less than £10 for 5. And yes they can be used over and over again although they have the same conditions applicable as when using your admission ticket(s).

So what is the advantage of buying these? Is it just that you can get multiple fastpasses for the rides at the same time?

Is it right that your park ticket will only let you get one fastpass at anyone time?

Are there any other benefits?

Are there any other benefits?

You are lining the pockets of someone; possibly a CM, who has decided to make some extra money with something that was meant to be given out to guests to enhance their experience :rolleyes1

There are no other benefits to you, no. Essentially, it works exactly the same as having (for example) 2 park tickets instead of one.

So, you could either hold:

- 2 fastpasses for a single ride, when you would only be able to hold 1
- 1 fastpass for 2 different rides, when you would only be able to hold 1

Personally I'm not sure how worth the money they are - they've probably got some use in the high seasons (summer and christmas mainly) but outside of that, you can usually get on most rides fairly quickly so it's less important :thumbsup2

I think I would get awfully confused having to look after this ticket as well as my official entrance ticket and fastpass.

I was disappointed though on my last trip to see that I could only get one fastpass at a time. Not for the same ride as i knew that you have to wait for that one to expire before you can obtain another one for the same ride. I went as I would have normally done and got my fast pass for Space Mountain and then walked over to Buzz to get our fastpasses for that ride and couldn't as it said I already held a fast pass for another ride. This is new isn't it this year or last year.

Still wouldn't buy any off the net though.

We got 7 fastpasses for less than £10 for our trip last summer, so we had 9 overall with our park tickets too. Never used them all at the same time though (mainly got that many in case we go with DBF parents at some point) i think at most we had three fastpasses on at any one time, but that was only once or twice in our 5 days there. Mostly used them two at a time for Buzz and Big Thunder Mountain.
And Crush was trialling fastpasses when we were there, so used a couple each on that one day.

Like someone else has said, works ok in the busy periods, but prob not worth it if you're going at quieter times of year.

Oh, and you need a wallet with different card slots, so you don't get too muddled up over which ones you use!
:hippie:

As we only go in the busy period(s), to us, extra fastpass tickets have been worth the expense!

Im debating wether to buy these or not there not expensive though so even if not needed I could pass them on when im back. They might be handy for the tower of terror, thunder and space mountain as I know these rides constantly have ques in WDW.

We have found them worth it. We only ever use FP on BTM so tend to get two lots of FPs so we can ride twice in a row.

And yes old tickets work as well as do old APs- we tried this earlier this week (just to test it you understand - research purposes) so were able to do BTM 3 times in a row

I think I might buy some of these for our trip in June as it sounds like it's going to be busy :scared1:
Excuse my stupidity(I get easily confused  )but could someone explain exactly how you use these fastpasses.
Do you just take the FP to the FP entrance whenever you want to ride and show it to the CM?
Can you,for example,FP queue for BTM,ride that then go straight to the FP queue for Peter Pan?
Does the CM do anything with it, e.g stamp it, or do they just look and hand it back?
Are there certain times of the day when you can't use it and is there a limit to how many time you can use it in one day?
Blindingly obvious questions to many of you I'm sure, but I did warn you- I do get confused ;)
Thanks x

You use them to get FP tickets as you would your park ticket so you can use it as often as you like in a day as long as there are FPs left in the machine.
It works the same as other FPs in that you cant get another until your window is open.

Having these means you can get 2 FPs for different rides or for the same ride

We used them again this week and it seemed that nearly everyone had them.

Also had a childs ticket from a previous trip and that also worked.

have found them very useful for BTM as you can get at least two turns in the specified 1/2 hour.
