Are the FP machines still "covered" at the HM?

There was talk of removing them from this attraction.

I don't recall them being "open" in recent months.

Now that is PRIME Summer Season, they might open them again.

We wondered the same thing when we were there in January. Not usually a busy time, but it was a Saturday night and people were everywhere. Standby said 40 minutes but it only took 30 which is still more than it would have to IMHO. Maybe not enough CM to run more stretching rooms. Why install them and then take them out?

There was almost an hour wait when I was just there and they were not using FP. They should move those machines to the Autopia so they can be put to good use.

Seriously, though, I've never really found the need for a fastpass at HM, so I don't really see a need for the machines at all. Then again, I might just be there at the wrong (or right) times.

They were not using FP on June 10 or 12.

We emailed Disney PR on the issue of FP's at Haunted Mansion and were told at that time they would not be returning to that attraction. Further investigation (admittedly, just by talking to the CM's at the attraction) revealed they were actually causing LONGER lines than occur without FP.

I don't claim to fully understand how that happens (other than to say most people were crowding back to the attraction when their FP time came around, meaning they were mostly arriving at the same time, causing a longer line), but the 'official' word from Disney was, they will not have FP at the Haunted Mansion.

Of course, as with all things Dinsey, it is subject to change without notice.
