Hi there, I haven't been to DL in a long time. I plan on taking a quick trip to CA while I'm here for work this week. Would it be beneficial to purchase MaxPass if I can't arrive until after lunch? TIA for your help!

It depends what's still available when you get into the park. When you get in, you can click on some of the rides in the app and look at what the FP return times look like (you have to actually click on a ride to see that). Then, you can assess if what's left is helpful for you.

Also, that may be helpful for you, although any day "this week" is likely going to be more crowded than last Saturday due to the holiday weekend...
