Here is our FP experience from first 2 wks of December this year. Stayed onsite, booked the FP at 60 days, 9am WDW time, (8 am our time), We had 6 day hopper, had to add 7th day because relation coming to visit and wanted to go to parks. First day booked Safari, Everest and Dinosaur. Arrived at 9am, AK opened at 8, walked to Safari after a couple of pictures, 10 min standby, went standby, then walked to Everest after little shopping, 10 min standby, after Everest on to Dinosaur, down, used FP later, only used 1 fp for day because standby was only 10 min and everything else was 10 min. At MK, I really can't compare because we had Xmas party tickets and most everything was 10 min wait at 10pm and later. I would get FP for Belle, 7DMT and anything else you want to ride. If you get there early, most things are 10 min. Epcot, we hit the FP glitch and had FP for Soarin, TT, and Mission Space, Rode spaceship earth at opening, 10 min, then Soarin, TT, and Mission Space was 10 min standby. So only used 2 fp there. Everything else was 10-15 min standby. At HS is another story, fp with the glitch there to but had to change because of other commitments with relatives. Couldn't rebook TSM so didn't ride, not a big deal to us. FP for RR, Star tours and Light, motor, Star tours 10 min standby, caught the 11 show for Light, motor was walk-in, used fp for RR, DW doesn't like the drop on TOT so we don't ride. So we only used about a third of booked FP. I couldn't see waiting behind 10 people in FP lines trying to get in when Standby was only 10 min and we still beat the FP line to the merge. Some of the popular rides like 7DMT, you may have to work with the times, I booked it first then worked the other FP around it. At epcot, if you do Soarin or TT right at opening then FP the other, you should be good to go. Have fun and don't fret about FP.
