Fast pass ?

I love space mountain! The lines always longer for it so my opinion would be to grab the sm fast pass which is next to the star tours entrance and then ride star tours :) have fun!

Would you recommend trying to get a FP for Star Tours or Space Mountain 1st?
Thank you!

FP for Space Mtn tends to be more popular than ST and run out faster. Most would say get Space Mtn first but it depends a bit on when you arrive at DL.

Since both are so close together, I'd see what the stand-by time is for each as well as the FP return time.

Once I knew stand-by and FP time window, I'd go with the combo that would accomplish riding both in the shortest time frame.

If you're there right at opening, We usually grab a star tours FP and then go ride space mountain (on days when DL doesn't have early entry). The reason being that the star tours FP machines are on the way to SM. It takes longer to get all the way to the FP machines for SM and then back track to Star tours. We have found the last few times we've been that SM is walk-on first thing on a non early entry day.

If you are there right at opening (non-EMH/MM), my guess is that you should be able to get a FP for Star Tours as you walk by (for a return time within the next hour). I'd grab that, then go ride Space. Once your done with that, mill around Tomorrowland (Buzz Lightyear?) until you ST FP time opens, then go ride Star Tours.

Otherwise, I would do as Geemo suggests, and see what the standby waits are and what are the FP return times and go from there. My inclination is to say that you'd probably end up getting the Space FP and then wait standby at Star Tours. If nothing else, the Star Tours standby line is better than the Space (at least from what I remember), because the Space standby line is on the upper deck and directly exposed to the sun/rain.

I always have my wait time app open and check that out as you pass the Star Tours fast pass station. Depending on the standby line according to the app will decide which I fast pass.

If both are long waits I would fast pass space mountain and do standby by for star tour , as star tours has a more interesting and entertaining queue.

I agree with this. I'd much rather do standby for Star Tours than Space if the wait times are similar*. Additionally, at least in my experience Space is usually the longer standby wait time. Check and see which is longer but I think it's likely to be Space Mountain.

*full disclosure, I'm a total star wars geek so that may weigh into it for me.

I find that Star Tours always seems to have a decent wait, even when you use a FP. So, if I was there at rope drop and wanted to do both quickly, I'd probably just do Star Tours standby and then do Space standby (should still be short if ST was walk-on) and not bother with FPs immediately (grab them if I wanted to ride again, though). If I was doing other stuff, I would grab a SM FP, do my other stuff, grab a ST FP on my way to ride SM, ride Buzz and then use my ST FP.

As a general rule, if we arrive later, then I would go for a SM FP first, as they may not be available later in the day.
