Fast pass return times?

We go to Disneyland frequently. At Disneyland, they do not strictly enforce fast pass return times. They will let you in any time after your initial return time. So of your pass is good from 12-1, they will still let you in if you come back at 5.

Is this the same at WDW? I will be traveling with my SIL who has never been. She will be at conferences during the day but will join us in the parks in the late afternoons. I thought I would pick up some FP for her so she doesn't have to miss out on the e-ticket rides but this won't work if they enforce the return times.

Thanks!

Fastpass return times are strictly enforced at WDW. Been this way for about a year now. You cannot return outside the printed window on the Fastpass

In addition to the return times being enforced, you can't get a FP without a ticket that has gone through the turnstiles.
Sorry that was a nice plan though.

If you really wanted to get into it, you could wait until the return times correspond with when your friend will be able to meet you and do it that way. What happens to your 4 year old while you use her FP? Just curious!

We would take turns staying off with her, thus each riding alone. I just thought it would save time to go through the fast pass line twice instead if one waiting in the regular line and getting the child switch.
