We will be at WDW in May with a six year old and a six month old. We will be on property and my plan is to go to the park in the morning with my six year old and have my husband follow with my baby after her nap. I'd like to get fastpasses for him when we get to the park, but was wondering if this is possible. I hear that a few of the rides (Toy Story) fill up so fast that you need to get a fastpass as soon as possible, so I thought I'd get them for the family while she sleeps.

Any advice appreciated. Hope this makes sense. Also, any Rider Switch pass tips appreciated.

Unfortunately that won't work. You can only get a fastpass with a ticket that has been used for entry. So he would have to be in the park to get them. After that fact if you wanted to send one person ahead with the tickets that is ok.

I'm not sure about the swaps, I know many people here have good things to say about them though. Hopefully they'll pop in with more info.

Ps: Just found this, has some good info w/ rides that have it.

You could take his ticket with you and get the fast passes, but you'd have to meet him at the entry so he could get in. A fast pass trick we'd heard before and verified this trip, you can use them anytime after the window has opened, not just in the fast pass window, you could get your fast passes that morning then ride in leisure in the afternoon with your family........OOPS SORRY MISSED THAT YOU HAD TO USE THE TICKET FOR ENTRY FIRST.................. SORRY
