We are planning our December trip.:goodvibes We will be purchasing new Annual passes that we will not be activating until we arrive in December. My question is this:
As long as we have the voucher (Number) will we be able to link that pass to our magic bands online... and make advance Fass Pass reservations with just the Voucher? I believe we can make Fass Pass reservations at 60 days out... Not positive on that...:confused3 Any help or advice is appreciated. Sorry if this question has been asked before ... :smickey:

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you can't make your FP selections until you activate the passes. I'm an AP but we were AP's before FP+ was rolled out and before magic bands. So might be wrong..but essentially your AP's won't start until you go to the park. So I don't see how the system would let you select FP's in advance if you're 1 year time frame hasn't started.

And as far as selecting in advance, AP's can select up to 7 days of FP's 30 days in advance. Not 60. 60 days is only for on site guests.

So this means if you have a 10 day visit but are AP's and staying off site, you can select 7 days of FP's. Then after you use one of the days, you can select passes for the 8th day. We as AP's can't have more than 7 days of FP's unless staying on site. If on site you can book for the entire length of your stay.

I was afraid of that.. about the Fast passes with only a voucher.

We will be staying on property so it would kick in for the 60 day if our passes were active.
So I won't be able to select any FP+ until we arrive and activate or AP voucher.
We usually have an active AP .. (Just keep renewing) But we had a gap in our recent trips so it didn't pay to renew. We let it expire.

Thanks for the info and advice. :thanks:

If you haven't purchased the APs yet, consider buying park hoppers that you can link to MDE in advance, then upgrade to the APs while you are at WDW. That way, you can take advantage of the 60-day FP+ benefit.

I have an unactivated AP voucher that is linked to my MDE. I can book FP+right now in the 30 day window (because my onsite stay isn't until August).

Nice idea wdwrich. I assume it's fairly easy to upgrade "Park Hopper" tickets to "AP" at Guest Services.
This may be the best approach so we can take advantage of the FP+.

I should still be able to apply the DVC discount also...

Yes, it's easy to upgrade tickets (park hopper or otherwise) to APs. Just do the upgrade within 14 days of first use of the tickets. I don't know about the DVC discount though.
