Fast Pass Hopping Question

If I go to AK and have a fast pass for FOP(tier 1) and I then leave after the ride, go to Epcot and can I do a tier 1 ride if there are any fast passes left? How does it work with the three limit and then one at a time if you hop from park to park? TIA

Yes if you hop to Epcot or DHS you could do another tier 1 (assuming availability still exists for the day).

After you use two there (so 3 total for the day) you can then obtain additional FP one at a time (just like if you did 3 at AK)

It helps to book your 3 Fastpasses at the original park, AK in your case, as early as possible in order to open up the 4th one. This includes scheduling rides you have no plans of going on.
I will never forget trying to explain to my mother in law why I booked a 9 AM figment fastpass. She never understood it, but by burning through 3 relatively quickly, I was able to book TSM for later that afternoon.

Okay, so I buy a hopper pass, so I can go from say HS to EPCOT on the same day. But they won't let you book FP at 2nd park. What good is a hopper if you can't get on a ride at park #2? Seems like the hopper should not be extra cost, in the old days a pass was a pass, good for any park every day. The mouse is getting very greedy.
It would be nice if I could say get a tier 1 FP at park 1, then be able to use my other 2 at another park, maybe not a tier 1 FP but for any other ride/show. That would help make up for the extra cost of a hopper, now not much advantage.

You can book the FP at park 2, but just have to do it day of. I understand why they limit the extra bookings. It helps spread crowds out amongst the 4 parks, which does benefit everyone. Otherwise, people would just grab tier 1 passes at three parks and those rides would be even more jam packed, and would completely block out people who only have a 30 day booking window.

Eh. I can burn through the good rides at any one park in about 4 hours, so the variety is worth it. Years ago, before kids, my wife and I did a one day single park pass for MK. By 3 pm, we had done the whole park - every single ride. Luckily guest services upgraded us to park hopper for free. We went and did TSMM when it was brand new, then ate at Prime Time, did ToT, and then headed back to MK. Nowadays we can do MK in the morning, ride our kids' favorite rides, then take a nap and hop over to studios for the star wars fireworks.

That’s why I book a dinner ADR in Epcot so I don’t have to wait in as long of a line to eat

Sometimes, we rope drop a park and ride stand by until it gets busy. Then we take a break. Late afternoon, we use FP+ at another park. Book those in advance. Then we take in the evening shows, parades, fireworks, etc. Works reasonably well.

These folks rode every ride in all 4 parks in a single day. They had to deal with using 3 fast passes in a single park before moving on, but it didn’t seem to slow them down very much.
