Fast Pass/Genie What’s Going On?

We are here now. At every ride with a fast pass entrance people are going up to that entrance and showing their phones then bypassing the lines. We asked a CM and they didn’t give any information. Anyone know what is going on? Do people have early access to Genie+. Saw it happen at Webslingers, RSR, etc.

It’s usually people using DAS (disability access), or sometimes people who’ve gotten passes after a ride breaks down.

DAS pass, scooter/wheelchair return times, VIP's. Club 33 members, parent swap, etc...

Yes, there are other groups besides FP/MaxPass who have been getting front-of-the-line access at DL and WDW for awhile now.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are still testing with Genie, so in addition to the groups mentioned above, maybe yes, could be Genie + as well.

Just to clarify, DAS is not "front-of-the-line access." (People can get confused about this.) With DAS, you still wait your turn, but not in the regular ride line.

Yes, I understand what you are saying about DAS access. My post was mostly about the VIPs and Club33 folks who pay a lot of extra money and get a lot of extra perks - including exclusive front-of-the-line access at this time.

I've read a report that CMs are currently training for Genie/LL through September. With all of the work going on to switch out signs, I expect them to flip the switch in October. Maybe WDW first since they announced Rise going to standby.

We were given "fast passes" when we needed a child swap. I'm pretty sure those with DAS passes are the same and I heard fast passes are still given out when a ride goes down and youre on it, but im not 100% sure on that.

Makes sense. It was a significant amount of people at the rides. Was not making my kids happy. Lol.
