Fast Pass for MVMCP?

We're staying at a Disney resort for a few nights before our cruise in November. I just saw hat the first MVMCP is our last night. We weren't planning in going in the parks because it will be too expensive for the 4 of us just for a day or 2. Is it worth going in just for the party? Can I schedule fast passes since I won't have a regular ticket for the day? My kids will be 5 & 8.

No FPs during parties, but party tickets can be used to schedule FP before the party starts between 4:00p and 7:00p.

The ticket for MVMCP lets you in the park at 4pm, and the party starts at 7pm, but you can get Fast Passes between 4pm-7pm if you buy the MVMCP tickets in advance

Lines for most things are fairly short at parties--even sold-out ones--because most people go for party activities.

It's hard to say, since you're going to be at the first party of the season it might be pretty crowded, but Mid Nov, before Thankgiving, is one of the slowest times of the year, I was there in mid Dec and it was pretty crazy

Last Nov. went to Universal for 4 days and then only did the MVMCP at Disney. We had no regular park tickets.
We stayed two nights at BLT so we could walk over to MK for the party.
We were able to schedule FPs on the day of the party. We made sure to schedule them for between 4 - 7, because we could only enter the park starting at 4pm.
But my DD was older , 12, so we could stay until the end of the party. Will your kids be able to stay until the end?
We had lots of fun a it's was definitely worth it for us to just go to the party!
