jist out of curiosity what happens to rides that show booked up at the 60-31 day mark for resort guests when non resort magic band holders go to make them at the 30 day mark?

The rides are all listed but will either say FP distribution is done for day or won't let you chevk mark that attraction

I guess I am wondering why someone would spend the extra money for a magic band if they were not staying on site if the main rides are gone. Like right now 7dmt is booked up for the week I will be there but the 30 day window for non resort guests hasn't even opened up yet

Because people cancel FPs or reschedule them so while not available one minute, next minute or day or week something may pop up. Similar to ADRs

Magic Bands have nothing to do with booking FP. Buying a Magic Band when you aren't staying on site doesn't give you the 60 booking window. The only thing that gives you the 60 booking window is staying onsite.

Last year for example I got 7DMT, A&E and even a BBB with 1 week before our trip. I gave away to a fellow DISer a 2nd A&E I didn't need shortly before their top as well.

I believe poster is talking about non park stayers buying magic bands so they can secure FPs at 30 day mark

But you don't need Magic Bands to get FPs at the 30 day mark. All you need is a ticket.
