Fast pass + booking on your park rest days?

Another vote to book FPs for every day. Its easier to have them and not need them and cancel or let them expire, than to decide you need them and none are available.

Thanks all - these comments are very helpful and we have booked fastpasses every day of our trip. I wasn’t sure if it was cool to book on days knowing that you might bail on them, and also good to know that a random fp might pop up if someone else is having a rest day!

I know trip planning doesn’t have to be extreme....however....I remember a time when there were slow seasons and empty parks during some parts of the year. You planned which rides you would go on at rope drop, but not book them in a timeframe 60 days before you even left your home! I have to be honest with you, I miss the spontaneity of an era gone by at WDW. I guess I just have to suck it up....buttercup.

I’m not that old either (49!) but I do miss the good old days. I remember when the DIS was a one pager!

We are in the parks for 12 days, have a 14 day pass, so we are full up possible to go to a park every day. Question is whether folks book FPs on all days in this situation.

I would book FP for every day and then cancel or change them as my plans evolve.

I would definately book for all days, what do you have to lose? You can always cancel them the night before to open them up for lucky guests who are searching for the same fp last minute :)

Our 'down days' are still park days... we don't have one day planned where we aren't going to the parks, but we do have half park days planned and then the rest of the day/evening is our down time.
