Fast Pass after 5PM

Are acquiring FP's after 5PM possible or unheard of?

Depends mainly on two factors: the time of year and how late the park is open that day.

Also what ride the fast pass is for.

Disney only issues a limited number of fast passes per day based on a multitude of factors. They are typically gone long before 5:00pm although your time to ride the attraction could be well after 5:00pm.

weekend vs weekday is also a factor too!

And don't forget the impact of weather. If it is raining you have a better chance of finding fast passes later in the day.

I also have had luck with fastpasses for awhile after EMH evenings starts, but that was off season.
