Okay, I am between two dresses to wear to Ruth's Chris.

Dress A is this dress It is knit.

Dress B is a black and white print, broad cloth material similar in cut. It is similar to http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx...4294936941&Nao=0&PSO=0&CmCatId=EXTERNAL|80145

Dress A fits better and is more comfortable. We are going to movies afterwards, so will be more comfortable for that, but at the last minute, I'm standing in the dress thinking "This is too much a housedress for Ruth's Chris!"

I think the knit with right jewery - that one looks like it can go casual or elegant depending on shoes & jewerly

honestly, whichever one is more comfortable. We've been to Ruth's Chris many times (with our kids since they were little), and I've sometimes wore jeans. They've never turned us away because of what we were wearing. We're usually on vacation and don't have true dress up clothes.

Do you get the sweet potato casserole?? It's SOOOOO good! It's like dessert!

I had no idea either until I read through the thread and figured out it was a restaurant. I thought it was an abbreviation for "Ruth's Christening" and that the OP was going to a christening for a baby named Ruth (Baby Ruth!! )

#1 can be dressed up for an evening look. #2 look like a dress for church or daytime function.

I like them both. I would go with A as it is cheaper. Dress it up with Jewelry and shoes.
