the theme was gonna be New York at Night, and i had a dress picked out and everything...and then they decided to change it to hawaiian...i really have, like, no time to come up with something new...so PLEASE help!!!

:confused3 im absolutely out of ideas right now...so any websites, fabrics, accessories, etc. would be great...

I really hate Hawaiian prints. As long as they give out leis, or you wear something like that flower in your hair, you'll be fine.

yeah totally go for a summery bright colour, empire waists are a really big thing right now, they look really great on any body-type.

it sucks that they changed the theme last minute. how lame.

but hawaiian should be way fun!! :goodvibes

I'm sure this isn't the advice that you're looking for but I'd wear whatever I bought before. I wouldn't go out and spend more time and money on another dress just because they changed the theme. This is why I personally HATE themed dances.

Anyhoo, I do like a lot of these dresses posted here.

What does your original dress look like and I'll try to help you accessorize from there :goodvibes Don't worry, you'll figure something out and look stunning no matter what.

I was going to say that, but I thought against it.

OP, wear whatever you want.

Well I am new to the boards but ooo-sooo glad that I came across this thread! I have to make a poster each week about new fashion and accessories so ask away!!! Post a picture of the outfit you already got and I will get you some things to go with it. The main thing is if something is out of your pricerange print a pick and go to your local thrift store or department store (or if you have an accessory city;they have all the knockoffs) and find a duplicate. You can do anything under $20!

i agree with ash. what does your original dress look like? if you add just some accessories to it, it may look completely original from what everyone else is going to be doing.
