Drum Roll Please......................

I ate them!
I made scrambled eggs with cheese and ketchup
and was able to eat about half the meal. The taste really is good. Better than the store eggs for sure, but it was never the taste I was worried about.
I know that generally speaking, we as a society have gotten so far from our heritage in many ways and farming in one of them. Gardening is perfectly fine, but we have grown up feeling different about animals than our great great grandmothers. At our house if a chicken got its neck wrung, we'd bury it and have a ceremony!
I think I'll be able to bake with these eggs without any problem. And eat a little every once in a while..... baby steps, you know!

Farm girl (born and raised) here and it's the reason I'm a vegetarian. I DO know where food comes from and never, ever came to agree with it.

This is one of the huge problems brought about by the almost total loss of family farms in our country.
With the giant agri-businesses producing our food, nobody even has to think about where their next meal is coming from. This is what I truly find scary.
