If anyone else is flying in June or maybe other times around that time CHECK ORBITZ!!

I just booked for June 1 and return the 8th roundtrip from Houston on Continental at

$183 per person! It doesn't usually get any lower than that from Houston, so if anyone else is looking at that time frame check it out. A lot of other carriers were matching it out of Houston as well.

Thanks for the heads up! I hope some others can take advantage of this!! :)

I used Orbitz three days ago to find a $282 fully refundable fare (changes=no penalties) on America West for roundtrip from Portland, Oregon, to Orlando 6-12 to 6-21. That is a prettty good deal for a Portland ticket in June when school is out. I think Orbitz is great. Although I use Orbitz to find the fare, I generally book on the airlines' websites to take advantage of any extra mileage offers for booking online at their sites., etc. Since I was using vouchers to partially pay for the new tickets to Orlando, I had to actually buy them at the AW ticket office. Orbitz gives you a ton of information about your options. Also, AW is great about giving you a voucher if the price goes down more than $20.

I actually saw an airfare yesterday of $153 rt Houston to Orlando on USAir I think. Of course you had to fly to Charlotte and lay over for a few hours and not arrive until late in Orlando.

Continental is pretty good about the voucher thing too. I've done that before when the fare dropped $50.

My two preferred airlines are: A)Continental, because I can take a 10 minute commuter flight from right by my house to Houston Intercontinental for NO EXTRA $ and the parking at the small airport is FREE! and B) Southwest because they are so darn efficient and have the best pilots IMO (most experienced anyway, even though I have a friend that flies for Continental Express in their regional jets)

By the way, my sale price that I booked was back to full price $261 within 48 hrs of my booking the cheaper fare.
