Me and my BFF are in the beginning stages of planning a Sept. 2014 WDW trip!!!:thumbsup2 We were looking at the Fantasy World Club Villas, and was wondering if anyone has stayed there or heard anything about them? Any help would be much appreciated!

We go to Orlando every year from the Northwest too (flew out of PDX this year) so glad to give you my review. The Fantasy World resort is awesome. We have stayed the last 2 years and most of the rooms are upgraded now with granite and new appliances. All Condos are 2 BR/2Bath with 3 TV's and a W/D. The grounds are awesome. We love the lazy river and they have 2 very awesome slides. The pool Bar is great with a very good happy hour (prices are good even during other times). They have ton of on site activities and also have the surf machine a block away that is very reasonable. There is a CiCi's all you can eat pizza just outside the property plus Arbys. It really is a great place to stay with all the comforts of home. Any more questions send me a pm.

Anyone know if they have entertainment by the pool? Music or a DJ. Looking to stay here and can't decide between this place and Star Island. Any thoughts would be appreciated.:)

They have music playing and have things like Karaoke and games for kids. They also do things like bar bingo for the adults. It really is a very good resort that has been transformed from what was probably a bad one a few years ago. The pool area is fantastic and we spent some time in the community center this trip and it was great with a couple of big screen TV's, shuffleboard and a few other options. Very nice resort!

Are all of the rooms updated? Would prefer ( of course) an updated room ...any suggestions on which area of resort to request?

I would think that all the rooms are updated by now since I 1st stayed there 3 years ago and they had already started. It really does not look like as great a place as it is when you pull up but is a hidden jewel which Orlando has a lot of. The pool area is fantastic along with the community center. The only issue I had with the rooms were that your socks or feet ended up dirty after walking around but that is the only negative I can come up with. I would stay here way before I would stay on Disney property again unless I had a good rate at the Beach Club because I get so much more value at this resort. Fantastic pool bar for the adults and a great lazy river. We are doing a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy this year, only disappointment is we won't get to hit Fantasy World!

Oh yeah, ask for close to the main pool but really nothing is very far. We ended up once further from the main pool but were right next to the other pool which is nicer for adults with a great hot tub. If you have older (over 10) kids take them to do the fantasy surf. It really is a great value at $10 but is a bit extreme, my daughter was not a big fan of it but I think most kids will love it.

Ya Fantasy world club villas....that's what I meant. Okay thanks! I also just noticed stay bridge suites has two bedroom units as well.

We checked in last Saturday the 18th for a week and checked out the very next afternoon. We were told we had a renovated room. I would hate to see what a room that hadn't been renovated looked like. It was dirty. The floor molding in the bathroom near the front door was covered in what looked like rust. The soap dish in the upstairs bathroom had what I would consider a lot of hair in it. Their were no washcloths in either bathroom. The towels were hard and crusty feeling. The furniture was stained. Big box TV's from the 90"s. Their was a dirty comb outside our unit when we checked in and it was still there the next day. Apparently the housekeepers kept walking by it. Also had a pair of old sandals not far from the comb just laying around. We were the only people in our building so clearly they couldn't think someone left them there with plans to return for them. The lazy river was shut down. They were repairing the slides so as we were laying by the FREEZING COLD pool trying to relax metal flakes and paint were landing on us from the sanding they were doing on the slide. I know they have to do repairs when the contractors can come but I work hard for my vacations and I can control where I stay and what I am willing to tolerate. This vacation I wasn't willing to tolerate this place. The manager was very nice and understanding. She got us moved to the Blue Tree Resort down the road. Much nicer and modern. While I give the management team a 2 thumbs up for their patience and understanding with me (husband says I can be a b*&^@) The resort I would give 2 stars out of 10. Would never recommend this place
