Fantasy policies - published (Sept now 4 nights)

I'll be happy with information at this point although my cruise isn't until 10/30

Oh no - we sail 9/25. I sure hope it's just that they are limited capacity and not cancelling! Fingers crossed we find out today.

I would like to think they aren't cancelling the Sep cruises since DCL has been allowing check-in at the 30-day mark. If there was any concern with the sailing status, I doubt they would have opened this up. I am leaning towards restricting capacity at this point. Another possibility is they are changing the ports of call around (possibly making the eastern now western), so to avoid any confusion, they may open it back up once they have the new ports established. Hoping the latter is true so everyone booked to travel next month will still get to enjoy the Fantasy!

They info also makes it seem that all sailings on both ships will only go to Castaway. No other ports.
DCL's site says the Fantasy will only go to Castaway in September and bookings will begin on August 25th. I feel bad for all those with booked sailing next month!

EEK!! We sail Oct.9.....guess we wait.
Do not want a 4 night. We have air for the whole time and after cruise hotel, etc.
8 people worth.......

Wow. We had decided not to sail on the 4th but I feel for all the others thank just had their cruise cancelled.

I just read that it was canceled. I was originally booked on it.

I wonder how long it'll be before people booked on those fantasy cruises start to get emails from Disney with more information.

I assume it'll just be a straight cancellation with 125% credit, or maybe they give you first dibs on booking the new 4-day cruises?

Depending on how flexible everyone's travel schedules are you could theoretically do two back-to-back four-day cruises and get an 8-day cruise.

My email came through at 8:04am

So it appears they will just do a 4-night sailing and then not have passengers for the other nights until the next Saturday rolls around?

How are they going to handle Port Canaveral terminals when the Dream and Fantasy are in port the same day? Would passengers have to go over to the NCL terminal to board the Fantasy?

they wouldn’t embark the same day as there days won’t change. Disembark should be different days still but math is hard

So those of us with later October cruises do we have any different cancellation window now that policies are available?

I just read from another post on here they are going to still leave on the original Saturday departure dates, but then return early after the 4-night cruise. It seems they will just keep the ship empty without passengers until the next Saturday rolls around again.

"Dear LORELEI,
All of us at Disney Cruise Line hope you and your family are staying well.
As you may have heard, the Disney Dream is currently sailing in The Bahamas and we are making plans for the Disney Fantasy to begin sailing in September. This is an important next step toward our gradual and responsible resumption of service in U.S. waters. As part of the initial return of the Disney Fantasy, we will be revising itineraries on some sailings, making it necessary for us to cancel your September 4, 2021, sailing.
We are offering affected Guests who have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit* to be used for a future sailing on or before September 30, 2022, or a full refund. The credit has automatically been added to your account. Once you have decided on an alternate sail date, you may contact your travel agent. Your agent may place a reservation on hold for you by applying this credit as a payment option when booking a new reservation online. Guests that have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times. We look forward to welcoming you aboard as soon as we can and making magic for you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
The Cast and Crew
Disney Cruise Line"

Here's what us September 4 cruisers received...

I haven't gotten an email for the Sept 11 - when I log into DCL - still shows 7 night Western on my reservations

Yea, we got the e-mail this morning too for our Sept. 04 cruise. And what about our stateroom credits we were entitled too? I guess we lose those. I have mixed feelings, I was getting excited but concerned. Still upsetting. Not sure what we will do. Our son goes to college next year (2022), we so wanted this last "kids" cruise.
