Fantasy policies - published (Sept now 4 nights)

A 3-day cruise can get away with just castaway. 7-night cruises need more ports, otherwise you will have a LOT of sea days, and many people book specific weeks for the ports & itineraries.

If you figure that for the foreseeable future, the Dream will be doing 1-2 stops per cruise at Castaway, that is 2-4 days of the week right there. That only leaves a few more days a week, maybe the Fantasy could do 2 days there as well but that would be about it. That leaves 5 sea days.

I know many people (like me) go for the ship, but many people also go for the islands, excursions, etc.
That is too many for me. It is too bad they can not be docked for longer at Castaway and hit
another port that is willing to accept the ship. With cases rising I only see more ports tightening restrictions.

*And thank you for staying on top of the rulings and legal stuff.

I’d be happy for 3 Castaway Cay days and 2 sea days. I don’t think 3 sea days would be awesome with the current restrictions. (We sail 9/25 Western.)

My husband (who complains about the prices) would be thrilled with this. He went from "We aren't paying
all that money to just sit on the boat" to "Why can't the fantasy just stay at Castaway a few days along
with a few sea days?". He LOVES being at Castaway.

I sure hope that they come up with something before I'm 15 days out. We're scheduled to do a B2B beginning on September 11th. We drive to the port, so it's not a huge deal for me to change at the last minute, but as the policy stands today, I need to make a decision in 2 weeks or so if I want to move my booking without penalty. It would be nice to make an informed decision. I'm leaning towards booking for the same time next year, but I have aft balconies at this point, and I don't think that I can get them if I rebook.

So which happens first...Fantasy Policies, or FL gets smacked by another storm....

Do you know how long do storms take across the atlantic? Wondering when we need to start looking to see if a storm will be coming or not. Example storm just left the Africa coast.

They can track changes in air pressure a week or more out but the storms themselves sometimes for only 4-6 days before they hit. 2 good websites to keep watching for status on what's out there:

Ya the 1st site is the one I normally follow but its been a while since I had to worry. Example is that yellow X and how long it will take to arrive in FL if it did even.

For folks who have checked in on the Fantasy, have you been able to book the kids club?

Yes. At the thirty day mark.
Slots and spaces filled up for every day of our cruise within probably two days of booking opening and some people did not get around to booking any.

I've never been happier that my kids have aged out of the club/lab.

IDK if it’s a glitch or if we’re about to get info, but all of the September Fantasy itineraries are unable to be booked as of right now.

(They had dozens of rooms on each deck available on 9/4 yesterday so I doubt they’ve all suddenly filled.)

This is interesting. The first one I can now access on the Fantasy is the 10/9- 7 night W. Caribbean. Maybe we’ll hear something today.

This is interesting. I wonder if they will finally make a decision today. Mostly the eastern Caribbean was in jeopardy with no place to go. The western didn’t seem too affected except no Cayman stop.
