They're at level 4? I thought I read just a few minutes ago that it's level 3.We are on the Sept 04 sailing and I feel fairly certain USVI St. Thomas is off the list of ports. CDC Level 4 Travel restrictions (announced today) and UCVI requires ship to be vaccinated passengers. I would bet to hear around the 15th, after results of the other Cruises...hopefully. But given the track record so far, closer to the 20th I guess.
Any injunction would be to temporarily block implementation of the law banning "vaccine passports". The injunction could be very targeted to just NCL, Cruise Lines, or the entire law since it applies to all business in FL.Sorry for the dumb question, but which way is this case set up(what does an injunction mean)? (I keep losing track of who is asking for what.)
Does an injunction mean NCL can't require vaccines to go to places that require vaccines? Or does it mean Florida has to allow them to require it if the foreign port requires it (like an airline would deny boarding based on destination requirements)?

I believe the lawsuit challenges the entire law, but the injunction would only apply to the Cruise Industry. If the judge grants the injunction, then any cruise line will be free to require vaccines.Sorry for the dumb question, but which way is this case set up(what does an injunction mean)? And no doubt they are watching cases sky rocket in the states. We were on the Thanksgiving cruise Western cruise on the Fantasy, but now switched to June 2022. Anyone who thinks Grand Cayman is going to let a ship with a significant number of unvaccinated guests dock there this summer/fall is seriously fooling themselves. And the same is probably true for most pots in the Caribbean, Eastern or Western.
They would NEVER do that. It would be 12+ vaccine required, or at least that is what Royal is saying is the new rule for St. Thomas.I'm wondering how it would be for DCL and its passengers if only vaccinated passengers are allowed on board. This means no child under 12 would be onboard!![]()
Exactly what I'm saying. The vaccine is 12+, so how would the ship look with no little ones running around?!They would NEVER do that. It would be 12+ vaccine required, or at least that is what Royal is saying is the new rule for St. Thomas.
It would not be without kids. Anyone 12+ would need to be vaccinated, but those under 12 would not be required (because they are not currently eligible).Exactly what I'm saying. The vaccine is 12+, so how would the ship look with no little ones running around?!
Hypothetically? It would be very quiet, and VERY empty. I just don't see Disney ever going that route. They can't and won't sail a 100% vaccinated cruise, or at least not until the vaccine is available for all ages. I can see them sailing with a requirement that everyone 12+ is vaccinated, but I can't see them sailing without kids at all under 12.Exactly what I'm saying. The vaccine is 12+, so how would the ship look with no little ones running around?!
In regards to a DCL Cruise or crossing into the US from Canada? My question will be what does "fully vaccinated" mean? Must meet US rules? A large chunk of Canadians don't, as we had to mix our vaccines with the AZ + something else (Pfizer or Moderna). I need to know before October (I guess) if I have to cancel my March cruise or not in order to keep my ability to cancel for full refund or rebook.
If they require vaccination, that is unknown at this time. I believe Royal does not allow mixed vaccinations. We really won't know until Disney announces protocols for the fantasy. My question will be what does "fully vaccinated" mean? Must meet US rules? I don't mind doin a test. I'm just worried that if they require the vaccine, it will be limited to what is accepted in the US, which is not AZ or any combinations of vaccines. I want to be as safe as the next passenger, but we took the vaccine we were able to get, which may not be good enough. The current DCL policy doesn't allow for those coming in from outside of the US to use proof of vaccine to bypass the testing requirement.
Under current FL law, they can't require a vaccine for cruises out of a FL port.I don't mind doin a test.
