Might sound like another silly question but...Do kids go outside to pool areas or anywhere outside for that matter, while they are in the clubs? Wondering if they need to be sent with a bag with sun lotion, etc... If not, I'm hearing so much about how they don't want to leave the clubs once they get there, when do they have time to go swimming/do the aqua duck?

The kids stay inside, no swimming when in the clubs - including Castaway Cay. When DS was younger he'd go swimming in the pools early, right after breakfast, then go to the club for most of the day. Only once did he go to the club area at CC, usually we spend the day together on the beach.

We leave at 4 am Thursday morning, spending the night in Atlanta. Guess we won't wave at you as we drive through Nashville. Just made ressies to have breakfast at the Kona Cafe before we head to port. I just love the Polynesian.

You're 13 yo can roam around as she pleases. We set the ground rules; one of which they can never be out by themselves. We also rent an extra wave phone so that our DD's can reach us. DH and I share one although I usually carry it around. The Navigator (newsletter) will tell you what the activities are and your children can decide what they want to participate in. On the classic ships the 13 and under's have the option to go to the top deck to play basketball, etc... with the club. I think there is something called out and about which gets them out of the clubs more often. I think that last time they had some scavenger hunts.

I sent a PM to Sunflower, but never heard back. Our stateroom number is accurate, but we might try to upgrade at the port if the price is right. If we do, I'll leave everyone a voicemail and post our new number on our FE gifts. If you don't see a handmade trick or treat looking bag and a door with lots of magnets, we moved. I'm not sure if we'll be at the meet or not. I love to roam the ships and am anxious to check out the Fantasy.

I've started gathering things for packing, but I'm concentrating on cleaning right now. It's a lot of work to clean for a house sitter! I get my nails and toes done tomorrow afternoon. I'd like to have most of the scrubbing done before then. Tuesday night I will pack, Wednesday will be dusting/vacuuming the house. House sitter coming over Wednesday evening for a walk around. Then early bed so we can hit the road!

Gotta start doing laundry tonight. Work all week then we fly out Friday night to Orlando. We have a house sitter too but he's a close friend of ours and won't be picky, but I'm going to thoroughly clean beforehand any way. Got appointments throughout the week for mani/pedi, eyebrows, hair trim, etc. then gotta take dogs to kennel before I do my last bag check at home and then we head to SFO. Hope I get it all done! I'm so anxious to be on vacation I can hardly wait!!!

Have fun at Downtown! Just be aware that one of our favorite stores, the Magnetron, has closed.
Lego store has been remodeled and they are still working on the bowling alley where the Virgin Mega Store used to be.

I should have looked for a thread like this earlier. Better late than never, huh?

We'll be on the ship with you all. This will be the fifth Disney cruise for my husband and I (though really sixth - first was on the Princess lines for our honeymoon 20 years ago, before they had their own cruise line). It will be the third cruise for our children - son (just turned) 18, son 15 (soon to be 16) and daughter 9. It will be the first cruise for my brother-in-law. We've always done the western cruise, and are very much looking forward to the eastern this time - plus all those days on the ship!

Been crazy working and getting ready for the cruise. Finally finished my FE and my FE gifts tonight! Very excited to pass them out!!

Started packing but still have quit a bit to do. I'm sure I'm over packing. Still have two more days of work ( I work 12 hour shifts )

Can't believe we will be sailing on Saturday!!!

Can't wait as we fly out VERY early on Friday. Did TONS of laundry and organizing today plus cleaning as my DF is staying with us for 2 nights this week. Pulled out suitcases and will begin packing tomorrow!

Does anyone know if our sailing is sold out/full?
