Fantasy in the Sky

Two years ago we happened to be arriving at MK just as the Fantasy in the Sky (special New Years display) fireworks began. It was amazing! Fireworks all around 7-Seas Lagoon and the MK park. Even the CMs were oohing and aahing about it. That year it was set off Dec 29 & 31.

I keep checking the events calendars and haven't seen it listed for this year. I know, I still have a little over 3 months, but I'm really looking forward to experiencing it again.

Have any of you seen or heard anything about it for this year? I'm hoping it hasn't been scrapped to save money.

I can't speak for what will definitely happen on NYE, but I can't imagine WDW scrapping their New Years fireworks and have heard no rumors. I saw them as the year turned 2011, and had the same reaction as you, OP. Amazing! The 90,000 people surrounding me on Main Street were similarly awed. With those crowds, I'd plan on a great show. (Hopefully, I'm not being too optimistic here.)

Disney is very slow to post these events.
