For those that have been on Fantasy, or Dream for that matter as I think they are similar, I had a few questions about Europa:

What sort of music if played at each of the venues? Are some more crowded than others? How do they handle the ages 18-20 people? About what time do they shut down? Which are your favorites?

Thx

In O'Gills, sometimes, there's been a guitar player. In La Piazza there's a piano/keyboard player. The Tube has a DJ (popular music - whatever that is). Oh La La, is a champagne bar, no music that I noticed, but the keyboard player (La Piazza) is right outside the door there. Skyline, piped in music.

Anyone 18 and over can go to any bar/lounge onboard. They just won't be served alcohol. You can find hours of operation on the back of any Navigator http://disneycruiselineblog.com/personal-navigators/

The Tube can be very crowed if there's an event going on there. As can O'Gills. And La Piazza. If there's no event, we've found plenty of seating available in all venues.

I like Skyline the most - for the drinks and atmosphere. The Tube seemed to be open the latest.

Skyline is our favorite. The music is piped in but it matches the city that is currently displayed. They rotate every 15 min.

Most bars and lounges closed at either midnight or 1 am on our last cruise but all of the hours for venues can be found in the navigator.

I think the Tube might stay open until 2. The place clears out pretty well after the nightly event though.

OR we are driven out - the MUSIC IS TOO LOUD (and for the record, Yes, I'm too OLD!!) DCL needs to remember that the moms and dads on the cruise are NOT the clubbers in the city. and the grandparents probably don't like the "popular" music and again the volume is too loud.

O'Gills is the only place to watch sports, outside of your room. If it's a big event (i.e. Sunday/Monday night football) they will show it on funnel vision. You can also watch sports on your tv in your room, but if you want to watch it with others, O'Gills is your best spot.

I think the genre of music drives people away too. I remember it being 80s night, but only until something like 11:00 or 11:30. While a lot of the crowd left after whatever the night's event was, there was a decent crowd hanging around dancing for a while. But then they went to current club mixes and the dance floor would be empty (outside of a couple times when some younger crowd was on a cruise). I don't know how they don't see that and realize what the clientele wants. I've even made the comment on the comment card more than once (about the style of music being played).

This was the case on the Dream earlier this month, the District seemed to clear out between 12 - 1. On the first night, dh and I came through around 11:40. We walked back to get a snack from the food setup and it was gone. The navigator has food offerings from 10:45 - 11:45 FYI. After that, we went in Skyline and had a drink.

We left a little after midnight & the bar was still open. The following night, my mom and I played checkers and had a drink in Pub 687. We left around 12:20. When my mom asked about closing time, the CM said 12, but that we were welcome to stay and awhile, just be aware that the bar would be closing soon.

Evolution (Dream version of Tube) and the District (DJ & dance floor) seemed to be the most crowded. Games/Karaoke were in Evolution, pop/current music was in the District. Pink had live music (violinist) early on some night (before the DJ arrived in the District).
