Fantasy Cruise Dec.31, 2016- Jan.7, 2017 Eastern Caribbean Route

Thanks again! it sounds like you have a great trip planned! We are just coming from Chicago, il area so not as long of travel for us.
No not quite as long. But I bet by that time you will be looking forward to warmer temperatures :goodvibes.

We are a family of 5. If we take private, by rules, will have to be a van (which takes up to ten). If we had 4 we'd definitely take the private towncar route. We've used FLTours before- the one this site promotes and have been happy. Remember though, you need to add tip to it.

Lastly, If 2 fams share a similar PAT and hotel pickup, then another route is to share the van and really save $.

Thanks for the help! Sharing sounds like a way to save.

So of course I have another question. What kind of celebrating goes on for New Year's Eve? does Disney give you hats and New Year's Eve tiaras? Do people dress up?

Oh that's a good question. I'd like to know as well. I'm hoping for at least fireworks. But wondering if there is anything else they do.

I found a thread about cruising over NYE. Sounds like they have fireworks for NYE instead of pirate night. Not many other details.

I was on a Dream New Years Eve Cruise two years ago. They did pirate night on NYE although that was the 2nd or 3rd night of our cruise. Fireworks didn't go off until midnight. I am not sure if fireworks will be set off on NYE on this cruise because it's the first night. I am calling concierge on September 2 to make my reservations and I will ask then. On the Dream they handed out hats, tiaras, and noisemakers thru our cabin stewards.

Thanks for the info and please let me know what they say tomorrow. Nice to know we don't need to bring all the noisemakers and hats.

Hi, we are booked and looking forward to this cruise. We will be at WDW for the week before the cruise.

In the past, I have rented a car during the pre-cruise stay, picking it up when we arrive at the airport, using it during our WDW stay and then returning it at the rental car location in Port Canaveral, which provides a free shuttle to the ship.

I wonder if they will do NYE fireworks on the first night and Pirate fireworks on Pirate night.

I am organizing the FE groups for this cruise. I sent a conversation out to everyone who said they wanted to participate in the FE. However I was unable to send it to the usernames I have quoted above here because you all have less than ten posts, the minimum amount needed to use that feature. Please let me know if you are still interested in participating.

Hello! We will be cruising with our 3 kids (two 5 year olds and one 9 year old) and would love to join the fish extender group. Thanks! Shawna in Colorado

I would be happy to run the fish exchange for this cruise. I have a large amount of family members coming on the cruise and it will be a logistical nightmare to figure out who will be listed in each group. So I might as well be in charge.

I would like to do four categories for the FE: Families, Adults, Tweens & Teens and Kids. You can sign up for as many as you like. I am going to try to keep all the FE groups to ten cabins or less. When one fills up I will start a new one under that category.

I will start a conversation with everyone who said they were interested in the FE, I will need the following information:
username, email address, cabin number, which type of FE you want to sign up for, first names (surnames optional)and ages of everyone participating and if anyone has allergies.

I can't wait to hear from everyone and meet you all on the cruise.

Hello!

We would love to join the FE group. We will be in cabin 9114. We have 3 kids: Isaac (age 5), Isha (age 5) and Amara (age 9). This is our first time cruising with Disney so please let me know what else you need. Username-->slangsta. Email--> SLshawna1@gmail.com.

Thanks. Shawna in Colorado

Hello! Congratulations on your first Disney cruise! Hopefully your children will make friends with some of my nieces and nephews on the cruise. I have five 5-6 year old nieces and nephews and five nieces and nephews between the ages of 8 and 12 who will be on the cruise.

I cannot add you to the private conversation about the fish extender program I have organized because you don't have 10 posts yet. If you can use this link: http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/ to get you up to the required amount of posts. Once you have enough post here again and I will add you to the convo.

I will need the following information once I add you:

cabin number:

Just paid the balance on the cruise today! Makes it feel more real!!!! So excited can't wait. I am shocked I got my DH to go. It's my second with the kids and first for DH.

I called today and looks like pirate night will be on Tuesday the 3rd and they are having a bunch of stuff going on for New Years Eve. Including a countdown in the public areas with a toast at midnight
