Has anyone here done a Couple's Choice at the Couples Villa on the Fantasy? Would you mind sharing the experience?

Today is my anniversary, and I'm thinking of giving DH a "coupon" for either that for pre-formal night relaxation, or a couples massage on Castaway Cay.

I'd love to hear what other's have to say about either experience!

Thank you.

Hi Scrappy Tink,

My husband & I have done the Spa Villas a couple of times, but both on the Magic. I'm a bit of a spa junkie, (I don't gamble, I go for a "sure thing" in the spas when I travel! ::yes:: ), and I will tell you the Spa Villas are to DIE for! Very pricey, but crazy luxurious. I think we did the one where you choose 2 treatments, but unless it's changed.....

Check in for your treatment at LEAST 15 min early. Gives you time to fill out forms, change, and for your therapists to talk to you about your special needs (you know, is it your shoulders that need the most work, etc?). I really recommend you get there more like a good 20 min before your treatment time.

You're escorted together to your sumptuous, private spa "villa", and taken out to the big private deck, where you will see a huge hot tub on one side, and a gorgeous double chaise lounger (with canopy for us, nice!). They did a ritual foot washing, again asking us what goals we had, like de-stressing, & then they picked out some lovely "potion" and emptied it into the hot tub. Told us we had approx 20 plus minutes to privately enjoy the hot tub together, then they would be back to start our treatments. Nice pitcher of ice water on the side of the hot tub too. LOVE-LY! Oh! BIG tip for you here. Do your very best to book your spa villa on a NON-PORT day, so you have maximum privacy. You don't really want to be looking onto another ship or buildings, or whatever. ;)

After your hot tub time, the therapists return, & give you time to get the big, fluffy spa robes on to come inside to the treatment room, which in good weather, will remain open to the outside deck. Oh, & they do have glass doors they can pull closed both for the outside deck area, as well as for the interior room. All glass so your views are still wonderful! Then you are treated to 1 or 2 of the best spa treatments EVER! Afterward, put those fluffy robes back & you're escorted back out to the chaise, where you are served lovely hot tea & fruit kabobs while you relax, & let all that gloriousness just sink in...... ahhhhh.

Do I think it is worth it? You bet! Not something we could afford very often at all, but well worth a special splurge IMO. Again, don't forget to be sure & book for an "at sea" day for the most enjoyment! Bathing suits are optional during hot tub time! Hope this helps you! I can't imagine the new ships spa villas being any less fabulous than those on the Magic. Have fun!

We've done the villa on the Dream and found it even better than on the Magic/Wonder.
One time we booked our's for when we were leaving Castaway Cay. Couldn't think of a better way to be leaving CC than being on the veranda in the hot tub for the start of our treatments.

Have it booked on the Fantasy (for a sea day) cant wait. Hurry up July!

I gave this to DH for an anniv gift before our thanksgiving cruise- he loved it. I thought it was ~ok~. We also did this on formal night but I think we were cutting it a bit close to get back to the room, get ready and then to Aladdin before dinner. So towards the end I was getting a bit antsy about that. Plus it was late afternoon and we were on the sunny side of the ship so it was HOT which made the hot tub not so enjoyable.

DH def wants to do it again- I think I might try for mid day or morning though.

DW and I did this on the fantasy. I was less than impressed.

The area (senses) was nice and clean of course. We enjoyed the private area for the luke warm tub (should have been hoter) where we relaxed, the foot massages were nice. My DW and I both got wraps which were reasonable.

They then took almost 30 minutes of our time to tell us about all the products they used on us and try to get us to buy them for the low price of an extra $500. It basically was like using us as a captive audiance for a sales pitch that we paid to recieve. Both DW and I received this wonderful service seperately (our individual massuse talked to us privately to divide and sell)

I was very disappointed and have not gone back to senses other than to use their rain forest pass.

Thank you for all the responses!!

Sounds HEAVENLY!! I hope to plan it on the formal night (at sea), and go from there to get an up-do, and DH to get the express shave. Hope we can get the appointments at the times we want!!

Oh, please write a review later!

DH is excited about it, thanks for the tip!

I'm already practicing the "no produce pushes please" speech. I heard this could get annoying! Thanks for the confirmation!

I think a "produce push" would be hilarious after a nice relaxing massage. Legumes, leafy greens, peppers, all the good stuff. It would be really out of left field.

I have this booked for my DH and I for our 15 year wedding anniversary cruise in July. I wasn't able to get the at sea day so booked the Nassau day at 5:30 pm, do you think there will be a ship right by us at this time?? I would just hate to spend that much money and not be able to truly relax fearing others were watching us.

Have done it on Magic (2x) and Fantasy LY, loved it!! Was worth every penny, DH who is not a spa guy, thoroughly enjoyed it. When I fill out forms I write, No Products just want to relax and enjoy!! I read it here at least 7 years ago and have used it every time at spa, they've never encouraged any products since then.

Only doing a 4 day TY so trying a Cabana vs couples spa, We'll just have to see which is more worthwhile :).

ENJOY!!! They'll make it special, if you don't like something just let them know.
