How does the new Magic Concierge Lounge compare to Fantasy Concierge Lounge? I thought I read that Magic now has one. I absolutely loved the one on Fantasy and wondered how Magic compares.

The magic lounge is really nice. It has the same buffet line and coffee machine as the Fantasy and Dream but the Lounge is just a little bit smaller. That being said, the Magic lounge overlooks the adult pool which is nice. As you know the other ship lounges are in the middle of the ship so there is no natural light or view.

The private sun deck on the magic is off to the side of the lounge area and also overlooks the adult pool area. Fantasy sun deck is larger.

This would be my issue with the new Magic lounge. I'd feel like I'm on display if I decided to sit out on the sun deck and have my tea in the morning. "Look Jimmy! Those are the people who aren't in steerage!" ;)

I've never sailed concierge, so take my opinion for what it's worth. But I've done a lot of reading on it (hoping maybe someday...) It looks like the main difference is that the concierge decks, lounges etc. were built into the newer ships and kind of stuffed into the classic ships. I would imagine the surroundings are a bit nicer on the newer ships, but I could be wrong.

The concierge lounge on the Magic has a reflective film that maintains privacy within the lounge for most of the day. The evening hours are when you can look in and see people- otherwise it is a very private. The sun deck is nicer than the dream/fantasy because it is shaded but open to the adult pool area. This allowed a nice breeze and kept us shaded. The lounge is smaller than the dream class ships but very nice and very convenient. Doesn't feel like an add on at all.

Related on the size of the lounge, what is the difference between the number of possible people can fit in each class of ship in concierge?

Was just wondering who the concierge hosts currently are on the Magic? We'll be sailing her this fall and was just curious........

There are only 22 concierge rooms on the Magic and nearly double that on the Dream/Fantasy so it makes sense the Magic lounge could be a bit smaller without being an issue.

Our experience with the lounge is that it is never busier than it is after the initial boarding of concierge guests. Once everyone has gone through their itineraries and requests for the hosts................it seems to say less crowded throughout the cruse.

Location also matters. On the dream class of ships, the lounge is right in the middle of the staterooms. Not quite the case on the magic. Something to consider if you just want to pop on by in your bathrobe
