Question about Wi-Fi on the fantasy cruise, we will likely buy some type of Wi-Fi package. If we only got one or two devices connected, can a different device use the connection if one of the original devices disconnects?

If that is not clear, what I’m asking is, can we all log into our devices separately to share the Wi-Fi connection for a few minutes? …. Or do we all need to check our email for example on one phone if we don’t want to pay for multiple devices? Thanks for any help on this!

IIRC from our last cruise, it was per device, as in only one device could be signed in at a time. You weren't limited to only signing in on that device. You could log in on your phone, sign out, and then log in on your tablet.

Thank you, that was exactly what I was asking…great to know!

Also if you try to sign in from a 2nd device while the first one is logged in there is a box to click that automatically signs the first device out.

You're welcome! If you want to use more than one device at a time, you'll need to add that to the plan. They'll ask how many devices you need. Just know they mean "concurrent" devices, as in using the internet at the same time.

Using the same email address I’ve actually used two devices at a time. My husband reading the paper in the room and me at the cove getting coffee. And I haven’t signed up for two devices.

That sounds like a glitch in the system, since normally the second person logging in gets a message that the already-connected device will be logged out. Perhaps being in two locations separated by some distance meant that a different router/modem was managing the connection so the duplication went underected.

Not sure the glitch is not related to things being “Disney”.

Back at the when we paid for usage, DW surfed a few days without the counter going down (until they eventually kept up but had the cruise ended earlier they would probably have not).

On the "NEW" system? You could do that when they still used "I" Cafe, but not since they switched to the new system.
