**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

OK, my own answers:

--What are you most worried about (sane response)?I think that I am worried most about health and safety. Of everyone, us you. We plan this so far out that we are blessed when life's little moments get in our way. As we have already seen.

--What are you most worried about (not so sane response)?
EVERYTHING! Ask Tony I am worried that my family is spending soo much money that I feel personally responsible for everyone. I was saying to my one brother (not going) I am so worried about my other brother (going) having a good time. He does RC cruises and love the surf thing and ice skates all the time. My brother said don't worry. " Don't you remember how into Disney Chris was growing up? He will be fine." Well I went over to his house and he was loading disney movies on his laptop. See no worries!

--More social on the boards or on the cruise? Even steven? More social on the boards. But don't get me wrong. I am a nervous talker and I have ADD and I loose attention quick and move on to the next topic. Some might call it "Flight of ideas:rotfl2:

--Day or night you are most looking forward to?The whole thing. I am trying not to look at too many photos from the Fantasy because I want that OMG moment.

--New flavor you expect to try? I am not adventurous at all and not much of a drinker. But I will try new things!

I have had an awesome weekend. Thank you to all who gave congratulations and sent messages. I appreciate it. The ceremony was amazing. It was worth the wait and I am glad I went through the ceremony.

Got some amazing gifts that will be used on the cruise:

The best was a brand new camera. We have a DSLR and thats awesome but my Point and Shoot was showing its wear and tear and while it works and takes great photos there are times where its known to corrupt a file, and is slow to react. Since I don't want to miss a moment on this cruise I asked for a new camera. I spent months researching cameras. We are a canon family but after all the research I went with a Nikon AW100 which is waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof (since you know how cold Orlando gets here LOL) but is a powerful camera. I put in the request for it when asked what I'd like for graduation and my 30th birthday. Request was GRANTED!

I also got a new carry on bag for traveling. It's a Hey's bag done in a Disney themed print and is AWESOME!

Then I also got a pair of FILA Skele-toes for the beach, pool and for walking around on deck. Unfortunately, they were cute but too long and too tight in the width so we returned them and picked up a different pair so all set with those. Love them. Will take getting used to the toes but they are comfortable.

So now that the graduation is over we just have to get through this week of entertaining family. We have Epcot tomorrow with dinner at Teppan Edo, and then the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday. Might park hop Wednesday to DHS for a few rides there.

Then once they leave we will focus on packing for the cruise and getting all the last minute items we need before we leave. I can't believe that we are down to 12 days until we set sail from being 18 months out! Time at the start seemed to drag and felt so far away and now it feels like there is not enough time to get things finished and packed up.

CONGRATS!!! So proud of you!!! :cool1:

I have a pair of VIBRAM Five-Fingers. Love those things. But Pam and the kids are embarrassed to be with me when I wear them. Pam calls them my 'frog feet'. I just started running in them, (ok, jogging . . . slowly) and I really like it.

You get used to the toes pretty quickly.

:rotfl2: Those shoes freak me out!!! Glad you are enjoying them though!!

I saw the rain stuff too, but when I looked at the radar, there was nothing there or even in the vicinity of our ports... Here's to hoping they're just "pop up" showers here and there ;)

Boys are downstairs singing away. Their talent show is today (3 shows-- 2 for the school and one tonight for the parents). This is their first year doing it and they are singing Seize the Day from Disney's Newsies :) They're even dressed like little newsies-- paperboy caps and lyrics pasted to the backs of folded newspapers :) I'm a pretty proud (but nervous!) momma!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

I LOVE that movie and all the music!! What a great idea!!! How did it go???

OK so I am starting to work on and finish "the book" of all our cruise stuff and info.......:rotfl2:

I havn't packed a thing yet, and after I finish cleaning the house today, visit with my friend who is an excellent photog and giving me up-to-date lessons, we are doing make your own pizza night...(one of the toppings is fresh wild hog my husband hunted this weekend :rotfl2: I digress...but he is from San Diego and SOOOOOO not outdoorsy...he made it through though, although most of us were betting on the hog:lmao:) I/we are going to start packing the first suitcase!!! :scared1:

I have read so many packing threads, I don't even know where to start anymore! I am big-time worried about germs and sickness....:rolleyes2 and I have the Rx meds for the kids and the Rx phenergrin (sp?) gel to put on their wrists to help nausia, I have tylonol, motrin, cough meds, imodium, travel first aid kit, band-aids, neosporin, swimmer's ear drops, lysol, wipes and purelle....I hope I have every situation covered, and I hope we don't have to use any of it...except constant purelle of course!! If you see two boys walking around in a bubble, they are mine. Please return them to the room properly labled on said bubbles!!:rotfl2: BTW if you happen to be ill, I charge less than the infirmary!! :thumbsup2

Clothes..shorts, tshirts, dinner wear, swim suits, dresses, undergarments and shoes, hats. Think that's covered.

Got the over the door shoe holder. Fold up hamper. Lots of suncream and burn jel, not doing the extra power coard...saw the room pics and just don't think we will have enough stuff to plug in to need it. Going low-tech. A few books and toys for the kids in the room. a few beach toys. travel backpack. Camelback. not doing the FE, so one less thing to pack. got the WINE!! :faint: Got the photo mat and sharpies for characters to sign. Got the highlighters for the navigators. throw away underwater cameras for the boys to use.

Is there anything else for luggage (not talking docs passports etc.) that we really should have or need? I just feel like I am forgetting so much....

There are so many great tips and ideas...some that I thought must do, some that I am sure I forgot, and some that I rememberd and already did.....
but aside from the tips and tricks...what else is really needed?? Sorry, I know you all have your own packing to do...I'm just getting a little um...worried/excited/worried/:hyper:

Thanks!! 10 more days all!!!

My trainer and I have been talking about these and the apparent benefits to using them instead of the heavy duty running shoes I have. We may start doing some training barefoot just to try. Since tearing my calf last year I am still struggling to regain my balance and pronate a ton when I run and walk. Would love to know if it ever hurts your feet.

mati

:rotfl2: Those shoes freak me out!!! Glad you are enjoying them though!!

Mati:
I haven't run too much in them yet. Started a small blister on one foot, so stopped for a bit to let it toughen up. Then I hurt my back a bit and then Dad's illness put an end to running for a while. BUT - while I WAS running, they felt great.

Jaimie:
They're not THAT freaky. Not as freaky as a snowfall on Halloween!

Haha-- I haven't packed either! Does having the suitcases out and a few outfits piled on top of their closed tops count??? :lmao: Just need to buy Alex a suit and we'll be set to throw everything in...

You also reminded me that I needed to ask the doc about nausea stuff this morning when I was there... Forgot... Oops... Just texted him, haha :)

As far as what's needed-- I WAY overpacked on our first Disney cruise-- I have a picture of our kids sitting in the baggage claim with a pile of 7 suitcases AND our carry ons. The pile was taller than they were!!!! This time: meds, swim stuff and dinner clothes... And pirate gear!!!!! Not stressing... Not stressing... Not stressing!!!!!!!!

Jaimie, Jen - good reminder, calling the doctor now (well after I hit post reply) about the seasick meds for the kids. Was going to get bonine for kids but thinking maybe the rx thing is better.

Can not focus on work....at least the FE gifts are done! :cool1::cool1:

The graphics are perfect Jaimie. I'm sure people at work here are wondering why I'm laughing....

:rotfl2: yeah...they are really good! Almost a little too lifelike!!! :badpc: That should fix that problem!!

At least we will know how to find you at the pool!!! :rolleyes1

PIRATE GEAR!!!! You see.....would have forgotten!!!! Thanks!!!

OH NO. Pam said she was going to make me a pair of pirate pants. Completely forgot. I guess it's shorts again this cruise. Unless . . . "HONEY, got a minute? Put down those FE gifts, we'll finish them later."

Megan, why didnt you go to prom? Is it your senior year? Pop concerts are the most fun. In my old days, we had one every other year and on alt. years we had a musical! Too Cool! Are you guys driving or flying to fla? We will be driving and leave a week from today.

I didn't find a dress that I wanted to wear, and it's not my senior year. :) We do a pop concert and a Madrigal Feast every year. We're flying and since I don't get out of school until the 18th, we're leaving a week from Friday.
