Fantastic Dinner question

Question: DH and I are going in September and would like to see Fantasmic. As parks are usually dead in September I would prefer not to deal with the Fantasmic dinner package (especially considering it's not included in our Dining Package). My question is: Has anyone gone be able to get a PS for dinner at MGM at one of the "fantasmic dinner package" restaurants...without getting the package?

Oh sure. We go every year in September. I've called the day of for Fantasmic dinner packages and gotten them, and I've called just for dinner and gotten that too. Usually the dinner packages fill up way before the regular PS's do.

What time do you typically make a PS for dinner to make it out in time of the show? And do you have a recommendation for which restaurant? We've never eaten at MGM

We love Hollywood & Vine. The time depends on the time for the show that night. Give yourself plenty of time to eat and get to the gate.
