We are going july a very busy time i know, and we really want to see the fantasmic display MGM.

Not really sure whether to book a dinner package (picky teenage eaters) or just hope for the best and stand in 'line' any help...please. :confused3

Has anyone been is it worth the wait for a 25 min show? :wave2:

If a dinner/show pass how do i book this and where do you have to eat?

I love all the plannin its as much fun!!!! :cloud9:

Hi
We did H&V with the Fantasmic show. I think there were 3 restaurants you could choose from.
H&V (holly wood & vine), the food was lovely. We ate there then went to the gate for Fantasmic and got really good seats.
I would recommend doing Fantasmic as a dinner package. I booked over the phone with disney dineing you should be able to find the numbers on this site.

We also have 3 teens and didnt know which place to eat, we picked H&V and I currently am waiting till April to book my PS...

We have a picky teen too and have done H&V 3 times so far and made a PS the other day for our next trip.

IF you wait and go to the second Fantasmic show of the evening, you should get in without much trouble..

The dinner packages are good for Fantasmic, and the greatest advantage of the seats you will be given is that they are to the right hand side and you will be some of the first to leave (the worst thing about the show is that you have to wait for so long to leave the place!)

If you dont want to do a dinner package, just go really early and get something to eat whilst you are there. there is a place that sells food at the back.

The CMms do a lot to entertain the crowd whilst you are waiting, and if you dont mind sitting there for 45 mins, this can be quite a good option, that also saves you quite a lot of $!

I've done Fantasmic! with the dinner package and many times without.

The advantage with the package is that you don't get the long wait before the show, but I really don't mind sitting around for an hour or so, enjoying a beer and soaking in the atmosphere. It sort of builds as the stadium fills and there is always something going on to watch.

Is it worth the wait? Absolutely. It's a great show.

Whatever you do at Disney-MGM, do Fantasmic. Great atmosphere, a "not to be missed" show.

Even go without dinner!?!

have done the fantasmic package twice & eaten @ Mama Melrose & Hollywood & Vine.
Would recommend H&V especially with teenagers. not only can they choose what to eat they can eat as much as they want. Our eldest DS always gets our moneys worth at buffets!

We went in August & booked in MGM. There is a small kiosk to the right of big blue hat at the top of the main street. We booked in the morning for that same day & had no problems getting in. They did say they couldn't seat us all together , 6 of us . But when we got to H&V, no problem in sitting at the same table.

My teenagers would NOT queue for more than 15 mins to see Fantasmic. I love it!

We've done the package at H&V twice now - the food is delicious, lots of choice and the desserts, well :earseek: it's allll good! Me, I love their turkey hotpot and also they do a bleu cheese and bacon butter for the rolls and bread you can have, it's divine. Whatever you decide to do, you'll have a wonderful time. I love Fantasmic, it's definitely a must see in my book.

we have done Fantasmic in July and August.

We arrived early (1 hour before the show) and got a seat. It gets very busy and by the time the show starts there is very limited seating.
After the show there is a delay in getting out but controlled very well by the cast members.

Can't visit MGM without doing Fantasmic ! :earsboy:

We have done it both with and without the dinner package. We did the dinner package at Hollywood and Vine which was really good, but we also went to see it without the package. It was just my husband and I and we went in to get a seat about 1.5 hours before the show, it turned out that we had a better seat (right in the middle) than you get if you go for the package. We took a gameboy with us to pass the time, but to be honest there was so much going on around and other guests to talk to that time went pretty quickly. Hope you enjoy the show whichever option you decide upon.

Fantasmic - the best show in Disney bar none. We've done it several times, with and without the dinner package and I prefer with, to give the event an even greater sense of occasion. In any case you just can't go wrong whatever you decide.
