Hi,
My DH and I are planning a trip to Disney the first 2 weeks in october. My question is....Is the dinner package for fantasmic necessary? We did the dinner package 2 times before...it was ok but the seats were off to the side...good seats not great. We have never went in october before and are unsure if there will be long waits to get into the theather. Any input is helpful. CG

The one time I did go, although I never actually saw Fantasmic...it got rained out, we did not have a pkg. Our seats were front and center. We had no problem getting a seat. We did get there an hour early. After waiting about a half hr we left Mgm and as we got to the front gate They started the show!!!!

I did the package once and didn't like the seats at all. This last time we didn't do the package and it worked out just as nicely (and that was in a busy month of July). We will not be doing the dinner package from now on. NOW, if the reserved seats were center or something similar, I'd reconsider.

I have never done the dinner package, and have never had a bad seat. The crowds should be manageable in October (my favorite time of year to go). We usually head in about 45 minutes prior to the show. They have kiosks in the back of the ampitheater so you can get popcorn, hotdogs, and soda to eat while you wait.

We've never done the package and have never had a problem getting seats, either. If you're uncertain, grab some snacks and get seated about 30 minutes prior and enjoy the relaxation and people watching =)

Dont' sweat it!

We did the package in June 02. Unfortunately, Fantasmic was rained out so we never saw it. We wouldn't have eaten at Mama Melrose's except we wanted better seats, no waiting.

This year in May, we saw Fantasmic without a dinner package and we got front row, center. We waited about 45 minutes, but there were plenty of seats available up until the start of the show.

I wouldn't bother with the dinner package unless you plan on eating at one of the participating restaurants anyway. JMO>
