D23 has posted a few details today:

Speaking of nighttime spectaculars, Fantasmic! will return to the Rivers of America this summer, enhanced with brand-new scenes and effects. Mickey Mouse will be featured in more scenes than ever before (you can never have too much Mickey, right?), and the show will highlight new moments from favorite films including Aladdin (starring everyone’s favorite Genie!), Tangled, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Their reported target was June but there have been rumors and speculation that realistically re-opneing may actually be pushed back to July or August...but no official word other than "Summer"

I'm excited. I think they are good changes. I'm going to miss Peter Pan the most, maybe Pinocchio a little bit, but assuming that's the part that Aladdin takes over (a personal favorite), I think it'll be okay. I'm all for Tangled taking over for Snow White. "Someday My Prince Will Come" is maybe my least favorite Disney song.

I think that's exactly what it means. Bummer, but it'll fit well, I think.

I thought that transforming the Columbia into the Black Pearl had been on of the few confirmed things Disney released.

I read that, too. I saw that they were working on using their projection technology to do the whole ghost ship effect from the movies. Sounds cool to me, if they can pull it off. Unfortunately I think there's almost no chance of us seeing it on our end of June trip.

I saw a screen shot on instagram. It was saying that D23 accidentally posted about F! and then deleted it. It said the intended return was just before July 4th, but it will probably be pushed back a little now. Also, stating POC, Aladdin, Lion King, and Tangled being added. Seems similar to the accidental slip of MSEP staying until August 20th. July 4th is the closest thing I've seen to being an actual date other than "summer 2017"

I'm excited about a potential Tangled scene. I'm hoping it's not just a pass by on a float. I want it to be the fire lantern scene - easily my favorite scene from any Disney animation. If they can find a way to make that "real", that would be awesome.
