so for April 1st HS is scheduled to close at 8pm but Fantasmic is 8:30pm. how exactly does that work?
it just seems odd the show is scheduled for after the park is closed?

Disney will probably update this closer to the date, but April 1st is also April Fools! Lol

Hours can certainly change where this won't be a question given it's a busy week with Spring Breaks but it still wouldn't be unusual.

They can be loading the theater as the rides are closing. Stores are still open and some folks are still in the restaurants. Those are the perfect shows to see (I liked doing NEMO at AK after closing when it had no night hours) because you aren't wasting park time.

It's actually pretty common for Fantasmic to be scheduled 30 minutes after the park closes.

This is very common and happens a lot throughout the year. Nothing unusual. You can get into the arena about an hour prior to show, you'll watch the show then exit the park. Those not watching Fantasmic will be leaving at park close
