Ok so I know the Mark Twain and the rivers of america will be closed while I'm there in late Jan - early Feb. I can only assume that this also means that Fantasmic will not be showing while I'm there too. I was wondering if there were going to do anything else for our night time viewing pleasure? World of Color?

Yes F! will be down until June.

Other nighttime entertainment: Fireworks on the weekend. WOC won't be showing until end of April.

All I know is the river is set to be drained Jan 4....

According to the Disneyland event calendar, Jan 3 is the last night of Fantasmic. All of the river attractions are closed starting on Jan 4.

Wow!! I didn't know they were draining the river... that will look sooo weird! Glad we aren't planning to go till October!

You don't actually see an empty river. They put a big plywood type fence around it. It still looks weird though. Last time we were there when it was closed we looked through a few of the 'holes' in the fence and you could see work trucks in the drained river.
