I am planning on viewing Fantasmic on Sun Dec 7 with dh and dd (4) during out trip. When should I start saving a seat and where should that seat be located. I am familiar with the viewing area but have not seen Fantasmic since I was in hs. Any info would be helpful. Thanks:santa:

Anywhere right next to the railing by Rivers of America. People will start staking out spots by 6 p.m. You can probably still get a spot on the ground by 7:30 or 8, but it will be very crowded.

Some people swear by standing behind the light towers, because they raise up just before the show starts.

Or you could shell out big bucks for reserved seating and get a chair with drinks and a generous snack box served to you, and keep your seat for the fireworks. Here's a thread from awhile ago that discusses the details, and whether it's worth the cost. We loved it, but it's not for everybody.

Hope that helps!

December 7th is the second night of the CP and the parks are supposed to be crowded that weekend. Hopefully, the good news for you will be everyone heading to Main Street for the 8pm CP!

I agree about the Premium Seating. Not for everyone, but if you hate crowds and love Fantasmic then I would look into it.

We are going to be there December 3-7. We have the premium seating for the 12/5 early show of Fantasmic and hope to get reserved seating / dinner for CP for 12/6.

Just got back, had tickets for the seats thank goodness because people had blankets spread out on the ground around 4 p.m. reserving their spots. Seats well worth it!

I can only second that. Our one and only chance to go was the first show on November 7. Crazy busy. Paying extra for Premium eating was well worth it.

Made it a point to get a seat early right in front and center. Got there 7pm and waited 2 hrs and 5 or so mins into the show, it gets cancelled! There were some technical difficulties. I had heard so much about this show that I wanted to make sure I caught it (first time seeing it) so I made sure I claimed my spot. How disappointing. :( I did catch the 10:30 show, but not as good of a spot as the first one. Really enjoyed the show though. It was great!
